I personally think that they and Manu are now a threat based on their respective acquisitions. Top 4 is not guaranteed, we have to be on our "A" game from the beginning to the end of the season. You under rate Arsenal to your own peril
Most of our fans seem to have forgotten they should have finished above us last year.

I think we can still edge them due to a more balanced squad but if they focus on the league and don't bother with the Europa it will be close.
I said at he start of the year I think the traditional top six will dominate this season and it will be the mini-league between us all that could decide positions and I see nothing to change my mind.

I, optimistically, voted for 2nd.

For what it's worth at this stage of the season, comparing this season's results against last season's, we are already 6 points better off, and that's despite not playing that well. We have better depth to the squad so should be able to deal with injuries better than we could last season. I can see us surprising a few of the nay-sayers!

Liverpool’s glitch is starting to look like more than that, and Chelsea’s season presumably under Potter will be transitional. With Arsenal and United improving but still behind us I’m starting to dream of a title challenge

balancing CL will be hard of course, but I think Conte’s low block approach will give us a fitness advantage over high press teams during this insanely congested season

Whatever happens I think this will be a very interesting season, I just hope City don’t completely run away with it, which they could now with Haaland

Looking at our City and Arsenal fixtures now til WC it’s not inconceivable we could be top by the WC. We definitely have more favourable fixtures.

Anybody that thinks Conte is not part of the problem and isn’t significantly underperforming want to revise their position ?
It is quite ironic that some of the vocal supporters of Conte predicted us to win the league, and even though we are dreadful somehow don’t believe he is to blame.
96% of you have us Top4, you can get 5-1 at the bookies on that, fill your boots

I still think we can get top 4 but we need to turn a corner and get some players in ASAP.

We're basically reliant on Newcastle having a meltdown to get 4th, I think.

Can't see us getting anywhere near United (and Arsenal and City are obviously not catchable).

It's a valid point. Most of us thought we'd get top 4 at the very least with this squad but now all the blame is on the squad not being good enough. I'm still behind Conte but if this was another manager we'd be screaming for his head.

Voted 5th/6th some time ago, could be worse if we somehow don't get kicked out of CL by Milan.

It's far from lost at this point but things need to change and quickly. A new(quality) player boost or confirmed investment would be a great lift to start things off.

I still think Kane could fire us to fourth providing Liverpool and Chelsea continue to struggle. Newcastle is probably the biggest threat, but they could be one Guimarães injury away from real trouble.

Well that's handy then as he's injured now.

I said 3rd at the start of the season and I think knowing what I know now we will be fighting for 5th and possibly 4th if we get the right players in over the next 2 weeks.

I think on current form, we’re in a fight where we might scrape sixth, but I could honestly see us missing Europe altogether. Just far too inconsistent.
