He's done very well in the small amount of football I've seen him play in the 1st team. It's obviously going to be difficult for him to shift either Jan or Toby in the short term

Then like a professional i expect Poch to deal with it like an adult and not exclude the player from match day squads. My opinion is purely based on the question you have posed.
I too have wondered about his exclusion. I know when the season started he was carrying a niggle i believe, but when giving team updates his not mentioned as injured.

So there was the thing about him coming back from the Aussie tour with a black eye. Could be nothing, but some say that there was a training ground bustup. this is total Facebook/ Twitter hearsay.
It does seem that football managers are prone to excluduing players and putting htem out into the cold. AVB was a specialist with that, Harry was very fond of it too. Which has always staggered me tbh, they are hugely paid assets, and to put them out into the cold is simply poor asset management. If a highly paid executive/ banker/ CFO whatever is causing problems, underperforming, not willing to meet deadlines or whatever you don't send him to the Postroom to sort mail until the end of his contract, while paying him millions a year, do you? You fire the fucker for breach of contract, or you work with him to bring things right as swiftly as possible. It has always staggered me that footballers are not treated the same, they're an expensive asset!

Wasn't the black-eye from Vince in training? I think it was an accidental elbow or something, not a punch up.
Not sure why people are fretting over this whole thing when they don't know ANY details, or is this just people venting because we lost a match?

Well it's a bit odd that he's not been anywhere near any of the matchday squads, his place has seemingly been taken by a youth kid (albeit one who might be ready to step up) and we've had no official news on him having an injury or anything?
I also note that on PhysioRoom our only injured player is listed as Rose.
So, where is he? The guy who was extremely impressive for us last season and only signed a new five year contract in July - it's a bit strange right?

Wimmer said Janssen gave him the black eye in training before Juve game. It was said unintentional. On Aug 15, in the club PR exercise, Janssen drew Wimmer's face & both were joking about it on camera. Later on, Wimmer favorited the same tweet of the video from club website...
So, just on the basis of this, I would say Wimmer not being in team is nothing to do with Janssen.
What ever it is, its something else.
But , I do remember , last weeks training pictures we did see Wimmer training with group for first time.
So, its very much possible he had a injury & has now recovered and is only a matter of time he will be in squad.

Could be anything though, maybe not putting in a shift in training? maybe been caught out on the piss? Maybe come back heavy in the summer and struggling to shed some pounds?
There's loads of reasons why it could be, IMO it's a bit weird suggesting it's because 'his face doesn't fit' ...whatever that means.
