There's loads of reasons why it could be, IMO it's a bit weird suggesting it's because 'his face doesn't fit' ...whatever that means.

It means that it seems if you have even a moment's disagreement with Poch for whatever reason then you're instantly out the door. He said in July he was a bit off the pace - surely with two months of training he'd be fit by now?

Yeah it could be loads of reasons but since we've not been given any by the club we're left to speculate.

Then like a professional i expect Poch to deal with it like an adult and not exclude the player from match day squads. My opinion is purely based on the question you have posed.

I too have wondered about his exclusion. I know when the season started he was carrying a niggle i believe, but when giving team updates his not mentioned as injured.

Poisonous players I can understand Poch freezing out. That top paragraph, though I'm with you all the way. Unless it's something really major, Poch needs to not just get out the big stick, but to work out difficult situations for the benefit of the team, the club and ultimately, his own job security.

We can only name a limited number of subs on the bench and if Poch believes CCV is training better at this time he is entitled to pick. It doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't rate Wimmer any longer or that there is a problem. Only that he can't name the whole squad on the bench.

Sorry mate but that sounds total bullsh@t. Guaranteed starter if fit is the most stupid thing i have ever heard. When do the coaching staff decide he is fit? What happens if we dont pick him when fit?

Did you perhaps read the last sentence of the 1st paragraph. I have not in anyway made an insinuation of that nature. I am more perplexed about his absence and there being no information of an injury etc....... I can however conclude from Poch previously freezing out players that perhaps this fate has befallen Wimmer or perhaps there is a simple explanation.

Isn't it just the case that Davies or Wimmer can cover the LCB position if Vertongthen has to go off whereas only CCV can replace Toby in the RCB spot? (Poch won't want to move Dier back)

Therefore, given that we only use one sub spot for a centre back, and everyone is currently fit, CCV gets the job.

I'm not buying that surely you have to have your 3rd best CB on the bench? Who would you rather playing CB wimmer or Davies?
My opinion wimmer is coming back from an injury, pissed poch off or poch thinks ccv is a better player right now
