Not trying to be a Nob, but Skipp for me. I’ve thought he’s the answer to a fair few of our problems, plus been Spurs since he was 9yo.

Erm... no. How is it imagination? He looks like he has something. You could say the same of Romero, his style of defending could make him look as bad a Dier and Sanchez did last season.

I think they are all decent signings and hope they all succeed. Quite frankly fed up of the negativity in here.

Well done Daniel, Fab and Nuno. Great transfer window ?

Romero isn't imagination becomes he has a solid CV and has performed at a high-tier European league.

Gil is imaginaton because he has nice qualities but hasn't performed at those levels. He is exciting to watch though, but we've only seen it against weak teams.

Not being negative, just not getting carried away.

Why not get carried away? That's what being a fan is about sometimes.

Gil is a Cruyff, Messi, Ronaldo hybrid and will be the best player on the planet.

P.s. I also had high hopes for Jose Dominguez. ?

I’m sure that Romero will have the biggest impact, as he looks an absolute animal.

However Gil is the one that should have us all excited. If he can fulfil his potential he will add so much to us as a side

haha yeah..probably as a result of getting old.

I had high hopes for Postiga...since then I wouldn't let myself get carried away.

Gil looks like a really exciting talent, so he’s the obvious one, but I’m looking forward to Emerson and Romero being integrated into the team, having a solid defence, and a quality threat from right back could make us look a bit more like the good Poch sides.

Anyone who doesn’t vote for Gil is a moron!!!! Potential to be our next Ginola (although knowing us, likely to be our new Bostock).

I jest though, my vote is for Gil, but I’m excited to see whether we can count it 3rd time lucky with our RB scouting!!

I’m also excited to see whether Romero can have the impact in the premier league that he had last season. He looks aggressive, likes to step out of defence and will add some needed steel to our team.

Gollini looks a proper character. The stereotypical ‘screw loose’ keeper type so cannot wait to see him get a few games under his belt.

Sarr may well be the best player ever, but I don’t really count him as he’s not here for 12 months. He can be added to next years poll!

But back to Gil, after failing to get Traore, he really does look like the only new signing who will have the ability to get us fans off our seats in excitement. I for one really hope we can find an integral role for him over the season. Such an exciting prospect.

What worries me about all of the new faces is that none of them look good enough to walk straight into the starting 11 in the PL.

that was always going to be the case, all are relatively young and inexperienced at the highest level. it's why i laugh when i see the nonsense we get during the window like "romero's an upgrade on toby" "emerson's an upgrade on aurier" "gil's an upgrade on lamela" - no, they're not. they might be in time but it was always a stretch to think that they'd walk in and be instantly better than established premier league performers.

gil does look like an exciting talent to be fair but i'm not expecting too much from him in the short term.
