Romero. Whilst the others will be exciting to watch, it’s Romero for me,if he is as good as everyone is saying he is probably the one player we have been crying out for for many many years.
Me too. Defence was the most critical area to sort out. The Emerson signing was also important after Romero's. Nuno's already shown encouraging signs re his ability to make the most of what we already have squadwise defensively.

These signings give us both more defensive security and attacking, transitional play options out of defence.

Romero followed by Emerson. Defence was our main problem and Romero in particular is proven in another top tier european league.

Gil makes you imagine stuff but that's all it is.

I got to see the Pacos de Ferreira game live and as much as Romero and Gollini impressed, Gil looked like a real star in the making. I’ll therefore go for Bryan.

Erm... no. How is it imagination? He looks like he has something. You could say the same of Romero, his style of defending could make him look as bad a Dier and Sanchez did last season.

I think they are all decent signings and hope they all succeed. Quite frankly fed up of the negativity in here.

Well done Daniel, Fab and Nuno. Great transfer window ?

Sarr for me, looks like he is going to absolutely dominate our midfield for years and has that long range finishing that could lead to some very special moments.

Got to be Gil for me. I thought we'd signed a winger but every time I see him play I find myself thinking about David Silva. If he can get anywhere near that level we'll have had a right result!

So nice to see a positive discussion about our new signings! After reading the itk thread you’d have thought the only business we had done was re-sign sissoko to a new 4 year contract!
Fact is we have done really exciting new players who are young but also have good top flight experience.
I voted for Emerson as I think RB has been a problem position for years and this lad could finally be the answer! Amazed we got him actually, and even more amazed at the lack of excitement when he signed! Most people were too busy looking for the next signing to appreciate we just got probably the best young RB that was even remotely available.

Well, Gil is the only one we are likely to watch any time soon and even then only off the bench, given the Red list bollox

Followed by Royal and eventually Romero then even more eventually Sarr

Then of course watching our like a new signings, the holy trinity of Dier, Winks and Dele- who are evidently transformed ?

Gilo for me. Can play wide either side, get to the line and cross well. Low centre of gravity, a good touch and willing to run at the opposition. Importantly, for any EPL player he is willing to work back. Can see him getting the nod ahead of Steve B.

When Ndombele returns to the squad he will be like a new signing!

Seriously though Gil has that Messi-esque low gravity and creativity (relatively speaking), Romero's nickname is "the Ronaldo of defending" and both are exciting to watch. Emerson is more defensive than Aurier, he will do well if he isn't noticed a whole lot.

I think Gil will be pushing for a starting spot soon and as such, I'm not too bothered about missing out on Traore. Also, we already have Lucas Moura who can run at the opposition and cause panic without much to show for it. Gil so far looks much more capable in the end product department.

If he does force his way past Stevie and begins to start in the Prem he too will need to get on the scoresheet. Only 2/5 forwards who contribute won’t get us far. Can he strike a ball? Confident when through?

Gil is certainly the most eye catching, simply because of the position he plays, and I think he's going to be a star in the coming years.
Gollini could be a very astute signing and succession planning that will go largely under the radar.
Romero could be a star at the back for a decade or more.
Sarr and Emerson....wildcard signings that I have no clue about.

Don't know much about Sarr.
Hopefully a few of his games are picked up by BT or who ever has the rights.

Bryan for now.

Yeah I would probably say Gil but if not him then Emerson Royal. Not even so much because of him as an individual but because of the balance he may provide, especially if we do transition to three at the back and him and Reguilon operate further down the pitch.
