I want a French team so at least I'm guaranteed 2 matches that I don't have to watch on a dodgy stream! I'd quite like us to get either Barca or Inter really, just out of curiosity to see how we'd do! And for the 4th team, preferably someone not very good.

Barca, Marseille and Zilina please.

If we had the following 2 options, which would people prefer?
1st group is tough but offers prestige, chance of some memorable evnings at the lane and some great away trips, 2nd group offers the greatest chance of progress

Group 1
Bayern, Real Madrid, Spurs, Auxerre

Group 2
Lyon, Panathinaikos, Spurs, Cluj

Take group 1 every day not only for the occasion but pressure off and just imagine beating Real Madrid :hump:

This is something ive mulled over with various friends. Tbh, if given the choice, id take group 1 - because I would (and im sure so would others) feel robbed if we got something like group 2 and DIDNT progress. It would have felt like proper CL football as we reeally want to test ourselves vs the best.

Saying that, if we can get something like group 2 and progress - that would be great too. But I dont see why we cant take on a barcelona or real madrid at WHL - we can win.

I just randomly got;

Barcelona
Panathinaikos
Tottenham
Rubin Kazan

I'd happily take that, reckon we'd get through. In fact, I'd take anyone in pot 2 or 4 barring Real.

Well if people don't care less if we go through and just want the big names then the best cases scenario is,

Inter
Real Madrid
Spurs
Auxerre

Or

Barcelona
Bremen/Roma
Spurs
Auxerre

But if people don't care about the big teams and just want the best possible draw for s to get through then that would be

Lyon
Panathinaikos/Benfica
Spurs
Zilina?(Well anyteam from that pot)

Milan - They are a poor side atm, but its still a glamour tie
Benfica - Lots of history, 62 and all that, but we can beat them
MSK Zilina - A thrashing

Champions League is all about playing the best teams.. Barca, Real, Inter or Milan would be amazing..... then again Bayern would be great.. hold on Lyon wont be so bad either! FUCKING bring em all on.. I cant wait!

What do people reckon about the chances of getting an away ticket against any of the top boys? currently got 170 loyalty points.

For me, from the point of easier games the desirable scenario would be, Pot 1: AC Milan or Lyon; Pot 2: need to avoid Real Madrid (obviously), Valencia, Werder Bremen; Pot 4: need to avoid Auxerre and Rubin Kazan.

Would be happy to get AC Milan, Benfica and Twente or Partizan. Great mix of history, glamour, beatability and avoiding longer journeys...
