I'd like us to appoint Tim Sherwood.

(Ducks)

Many will baulk at the idea of not appointing a 'name' manager but how far has that got us in the past?

Let's appoint someone who knows the qualities of the squad as they've been around them for some time taking training and is highly thought of by the board so is less likely to get the heave-ho if results don't immediately pick up.

We need stability at this point of the season and appointing someone internal seems like the best way of achieving that.

Or go for another 'name' that needs to learn about our squad and have another drawn-out transition period.

I don't know about you, but i'm sick of them.

Sherwood has been banned from having access to the squad for the last 18 months for being such a wormtounge.

All the players he knows are at Swindon.

Shouldn't there be a dedicated poll thread like this one for new manager? The thread should stay.

I thought it would be better in the other thread. Of course that would go against the "how many of the same threads game" that we are currently playing.

what's the difference between de boer now and avb when leaving porto? we have two former ajax players, is that the main reason?

Basically.

de Boer is the kind of manager who if we saw go to AC Milan now, we'd be kicking ourselves for not getting. He's a risk. But I'd be prepared to go for it. He's incredibly passionate, he only plays with 3 up front, he's a lead voice when it comes to pass and move.

If nothing else, it'd be like the Tottenham we want in spirit.

Sherwood has been banned from having access to the squad for the last 18 months for being such a wormtounge.

So what you're saying is that, once again, Levy has been influenced by someone with their own agenda whispering in his ear? You would think that after the Comolli/Ramos fiasco he would have learned by now, if anything it seems like he's gotten even worse with the whole "committee"

what's the difference between de boer now and avb when leaving porto? we have two former ajax players, is that the main reason?

I think you could give him the plus of consistency over time at a single club, rather than one outstanding season. Also adapting to losing his best players to sales over the years is quite the bonus, given he'd have to contend with that here too.

De Boer's more diplomatic/less confrontational.

He's also schooled in the Ajax tradition, rather than the Porto one (though they are similar).

But generally he has all AVB's good attributes - intelligence, vision, ambition and a hard-on for 4-3-3.

Please people, stop saying Pochettino. How is he in the least bit proven? And haven't you noticed Southampton sliding down the table? Can't you see how stupid that is to suggest him?

From a purely nationalistic point of view I'd love to see how Solskjær got on but I think he himself would rather go to West Brom and that's probably the kind of team he should aim to prove himself at first.

Frank de Boer is definitely my fist choice.

I voted for de Boer but Spaletti would be an alternative option if he speaks English.

What a spanner, I missed De Boer on the list - voted Laudrup. Obviously wanted De Boer.
