If Harry goes now our next manager will be a caretaker as we won't be able to get anyone good in until the Summer. I suppose the only feasible option should Harry leave now is Hiddink but I don't think he wants to be a club manager.

With this current squad and if we finish top 3 then we need an experienced manager who understands the PL as well as CL.
Some names mentioned ie: Rodgers...don't have CL experience yet.

However the big names manager would want us to break our wage structure - Would Levy be willing to do that. We have a BIG stadium project and so we need to carefully plan ahead.

If we don't pull a big name manager then some of our big name players might move on ie: Modric.

Just as one name stands for the England Manager - REDKNAPP
One name stands for the SPURS MANAGER - Mourinho
Arry will accept England
Will Jose accept Spurs???

Certainly see where you're coming from and partly argue the same - still think he'd do good though and can see him shine at a club like Liverpool when they get rid of Kenny.

One of the things I struggle to understand is why managers don't make more money. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they'd make less then most players in the first 11? As for wage structure I really don't know how much of a difference it would make as the manager clearly is in a different position from players and staff and shouldn't set a new standard for other people's salaries?

I'd question whether Mourinho's got the balls to take on the challenge. It'll be a challenge to improve on Harry. Still have a faint hope he'll refuse as we're really on the brink of something massive. But don't think he can allow himself to do it as the change might not come again.

Arry isn't the only manager who players seem to like playing for.

I trust Levy enough to make the right call.

I think we will be managed by Moyes next season.

I don't trust Levy to make the right call. Santini, Ramos. O dear.

All great chairmen make mistakes look at utd before Alex, look at pool with Evans, Roman gets it wrong regularly. I think Levy does a good job and I will trust his next move should it be Jose, Jurgen or Joachim Low.

It has to be a big name, if it is Rodgers or Lambert they may well be capable but at the same time Modric, VDV and Bale will likely be queuing outside Levy's office to hand in transfer requests.

Mourinho even if offered it would sit around and see if any better Premiership job becomes available so he would be very much a 31st July appointment if at all

Its all about working relationships

Klinsmann is a regular guest at the lane. And we all know that Daniel and Jose are a little bit pallied up

Do we?? Hmm, intriguing. Maybe we have a chance after all. Thanks.

there are so many good managers out there and a lot of them come with draw backs ie would want to splash the cash big time and possibly break the wage structure, for me i would be very happy with Brendon Rodgers gets his teams to play good football much like the ethos at spurs , i would also be happy with either Lambert or houton , and as much as i like Jose i think his tactics are a bit on the negative side and he seems to cause trouble were ever he go's

david moyes for me if uk based or martin o neilll

anyone who is suggesting mourinho should beware.. every one knows his ego and circus that comes with him.. what happens when fergie retires in next couple of years. will mourinho turn down united? not on you life so if the scenario worked out that we got mourinho what happens in couple of years when united come calling? start all over again.. i dont like mourinho , never liked him and never rated the way his teams play. plus the fact he has had huge amounts of money to spend getting top team. he wont get that here, either way his appointment wud not be long term either.

make offer to harry to stay that he can not refuse. end of.

Mourinho
Hiddink
Ancelotti

I wouldn't be as worried about this 'Arry/England love in had Ancelotti not gone to PSG. I actually think Carlo would have preferred the Spurs job, no?

Mourinho would be my number 1 choice but that's a bit of a dream. The players he could attract for us scares me.

Hiddink for me when Harry goes (summer hopefully)

Santini was the current France manager when he took us over. Ramos was the next Mourinho and had come off an incredible couple of seasons at Sevilla.

Genuinely, the biggest risk he's taken was appointing Harry, so just goes to show. If you can't trust Levy, who I think is generally accepted to be the most astute chairman in the Premiership (if not the world), then you better not hope for a takeover - as that could be proper scary stuff!

Klinsmann was a fish out of water without Joachim Low, would not want Klinsmann unless Low came with him

Jose and Levy getting on is like saying Messi supported us as a kid because of Ossie and Ricky, doesn't mean Messi would come to Spurs, there is no room for sentiment in business, Jose would only join if Levy agreed to buy top top players and until the stadium is built hell will freeze over before that happens.
