I also can't stand Rodgers, he is incredibly conceited: “My biggest mentor is myself because I’ve had to study, so that’s been my biggest influence.”

I don't buy into this idea that he's such a fantastic manager or that Liverpool's recent form are a result of giving the team time to gel. Look at his managerial record before signing Sturridge and Coutinho and look at his managerial record afterwards.

The partnership between Suarez and Sturridge is the biggest reason for their success.

Agree - Liverpool have also been very fortunate that they haven't lost key players to injury for any length of time.
Meanwhile you could argue that the long-term injuries to Ramsey, Wilshere, Walcott and Chamberlain are one of the main reason's the scum are battling just to stay in the top 4.

At the beginning of the season, after the transfer window I said:

1st City
2nd Chelsea
3rd Spurs :hungover: :ROFLMAO:
4th Arsenal
5th Man Utd
6th Liverpool
7th Everton

Now I would go:

1st City
2nd Chelsea
3rd Liverpool
4th Arsenal
5th Everton
6th Man Utd
7th Spurs :chicken: :banghead:

Think it is in City's hands, two games in hand plus Liverpool still to play they could end up running away with it. Chelsea can easily go undefeated from here on in, avoid a defeat against Liverpool and I reckon they will finish 2nd. Liverpool still fragile away from home but strong at home, so could go either way for them.

We missed Suarez for 5 games. We still won our games.
We missed Gerrard for over a month. We still won our games.
We missed Sturridge for around 9 games at the same time Stevie was injured (including at WHL). We still won games.
We've had Jose Enrique, our best LB, out for almost the entire season and over Xmas and New year our entire first choice defence was out and we had to play with Kolo Toure and Skrtel. We still won games.
We missed Lucas, at that time our only good DM, for at least 6-8 weeks. We still won games.
We missed Joe Allen, who has been brilliant in CM for us lately, for at least 6 weeks too.

To make out we've had no problems with injuries, and thats the reason for our success, either comes from complete bitterness or total delusion.

We've had our fair share of injuries just like everyone else yet BR has still found a way to keep racking up the points by constantly changing and tweaking his tactics and system to get the most out of what he had.

Even if we don't win the title, he has been BY FAR the best and most successful Manager this season when you compare LFC now to his first season. I'd be disappointed if he didn't win Manager of the year.

For me manager of the year is between Rodgers and Martinez. If Liverpool miss out on the title and Martinez grabs 4th then it'll be the latter definitely. I think the FA will give it to whoever wins the league otherwise.

Arsenal is a pointless addition to the poll, they've got no chance. They've gone back to how they were a few years ago when they used to be in the title race, often occupying first for a few months, up until Feb/March where they'd cave in. Recently they've been worse, duking it out for 4th all year round, and in that respect they've actually improved this year, but it still isn't enough. Losing Ramsey and Walcott to injury, and not buying another striker has let them down big time.

It's between the other 3 and I think each are just as likely as the other. It's just a matter of picking up all the available points.

I agree. I think that Martinez is in with a shout.

Tony Pulis should also be considered. When he took over at Palace they had 3 points from 8 games. If he manages to keep them up and leads them to a respectable finish he deserves it in my opinion.

Pulis has done a great job, but he hasn't been around all season so obviously he can't be judged on the merit of an entire campaign. Nevertheless, as you say, he's done a great job and deserves an honorary mention.

I actually want Liverpool to win the league this year. They have been simply unplayable at times this year and I've genuinely enjoyed watching their games as they have been great for a neutral. Gerrard deserves a league trophy in my eyes for his consistent high level of performance over the years so I'd be happy to see him lift it. Plus I hate Chelski and Man City, their owners can just buy them a trophy if they really want it.

I think it's between Liverpool and City. Both are so good going foward and Chelsea are struggling a bit to score goals. If Liverpool don't bottle it I think they'll win it. They look like scoring four or five goal every game and have been immense at home.

I just can;t have Liverpool winning it for reasons that i've already stated on this forum recently. It just can't happen.

City to win for me, with Aguero to come back, that should be enough to do it. Plus they don;t count as they are stupidly minted, plus my girlfriend is a fan so I will get lots more sex than I already do

On a side note, I feel Brendan Rodgers deserves more respect than he's getting. He's done a fantastic job. Yes they have only been playing once a week, yes they kept their best player...yada yada yada

He's got them playing some football that's easy on the eye, players who work together who know what each persons role is, and did anyone really think they would be here at the start of the season?

I'd probably prefer City to win it, but if Liverpool won it would be one of the greatest title victories ever. 7th to 1st in one season, possibly breaking the goals record, having spent far less than their rivals.

Never thought I would say it, and will hate the dippers for going on about if for the next decade but I want Liverpool to win.... and honestly think they will do it, both City and the Chavs at home where they have only dropped points in 2 games.

Liverpool are playing really well at the moment but I can't see them beating both City and Chelsea which would cost them dearly. Then again City still have to go to Goodison so they might drop points there.

Man City without a shadow of a doubt. Put money on them coz I believe, fixture wise, its pretty clear. Liverpool have a pretty difficult run in from here on:

  • WHU (A) - Style of footy we struggle to cope with away, could never beat Pulis' Stoke because of this + Carroll.
  • City (H)
  • Norwich (A) - Fighting for their lives & not got a bad record at home vs the better teams.
  • Chelsea (H) - Maureen will do to js what he did to City at eastlands & get a draw at least imo.
  • Crystal Palace (A) - See WHU above + in decent form atm.
  • Newcastle (H) - only fixture I'm pretty confident we won't struggle in.
So, Chelsea 2nd & LFC 3rd.

LFC will drop points tomorrow v WHU and in the City and Chav games and that will be that. I wouldn't be at all surprised if we lost another 3 games from here on in. I think the pressure will start getting to our young players & fans will transfer at lot of anxiety on to them too at home so I'm not at all confident we'll get title.

TBH, I wouldn't be that disappointed if we did miss out on it now and in the end came 3rd. Before the season started, all i was desperate for was 4th, so if we got 3rd ahead of Arse and got straight into CL Groups, I'd be pretty chuffed. Would certainly have been delighted if told we'd get that back in August, thats for certain!

Norwich? Are you kidding me?

John Ruddy is sick of fucking sight of you - Suarez in particular I'd bet.

I expect you to win all those games comfortably bar the two biggies.

Mourinho will set up to stifle and hit you on the counter - similar to his approach at City I reckon. Tight game but I think Liverpool could edge it.

Its the City game I don't think you'll win. If Toure and Silva are on it I think they'll boss proceedings.

But lets be honest you have every chance of winning it and you might not get a better chance again anytime soon.

I think West Ham will be a test for you but Liverpool's strikeforce should see them off.

Suarez beats Norwich on his own. I think he has 3 hat tricks against them.

Palace can be a pain but like you say Newcastle shouldn't be a worry.

The home games to Chelsea and City are the deciders.

Think City will take the title

Please god let city win it. If I have to watch much more of the scouse media wankfest and their self-entitled 'let's win it for stevie' bollocks I may just off myself.
