What annoys me is that could have been us. I don't think they will win but we were perfectly primed to replace a team dropping out of the top four for several seasons. We blew it.

After posting my last post I have just then read the post above. This is what I was hinting might be a big part of the anti-Liverpool and their fans feeling on here at the moment.

Its not our fault you didn't take the golden opportunities you had to establish yourselves in the top 4 for the foreseeable future.

This has to be the most annoying song in football! I think it's the Sven-Göran Eriksson song with the lyrics changed?

The most annoying chant EVER, and I think a lot of other fans would agree with me, is your slow version of the Southampton Saints marching on song.

Why sing it slow? It sounds weird and doesn't suit the subject of the song and the message the chant is trying to get across. It sounds like a consolatory chant that would be sang after you've just missed out in a Cup Final on penalties and everyones gutted.

People let their hatred for all things Liverpool cloud their thinking. Somehow, I doubt I'd be reading all this rubbish if we were still battling for 7th place like we have the last 3 seasons and looking as shite as we have been since 2010.

You don't have to "read all this rubbish" at all if you don't want to. This is a Spurs site. That being the case, there's going to be hostility towards other clubs and fans.

If we finally won the league this year, which I don't think we will btw, it would mean we were the best team in the country over 38 games. That would be a HELL of an accomplishment for a squad & Manager who only came 7th last season. It would be one of the biggest surprises in a long time.

When you add to the fact Liverpool have not won it since 1990 and this has always been the be all and end all for LFC fans due to successful history, do you not feel that we'd be a little justified to be "wanking in the streets for weeks"?

Would you lot not react similar if you one day were to win the league? Surely you winning the league would be an even bigger deal than us winning it due to the last time you won it? Would you not be going mad celebrating, or "wanking in the streets"?

The non-partisan truth and reality is that it would be a HUGE deal for any fans to win the league and Liverpool fans would celebrate just the same way as the Utd fans or City fans or Arsenal fans did, and even if there was some over-exuberance by some, that would only be because of the huge baron spell since 1990.

I feel since we've finally turned things around this season, and are no longer the laughing stock we were the last 3 seasons, and there's not much to write in all the "Lets All Laugh at Liverpool" threads across the forums all over the country, people aren't happy about this or maybe a bit bitter and just finding anyway to criticize the club and fans and even having little digs about Hillsboro for Gods sake.

People let their hatred for all things Liverpool cloud their thinking. Somehow, I doubt I'd be reading all this rubbish if we were still battling for 7th place like we have the last 3 seasons and looking as shite as we have been since 2010.

It would be a hell of an achievement - and would deserve immense credit. Its not clouding my judgement at all in that respect.

But to be honest mate, I don't hate Liverpool, I just don't particularly like them. I can't stand the attitude of most Liverpool fans I know which probably has a lot to do with it. I dislike the insane media bias they get.

And its not rubbish, I didn't like Liverpool last year, or five years before that.

Nobody is forcing you to come on to a Spurs forum. We're discussing who we'd prefer to win the League, its not really a big deal but its akin to me going on to a Liverpool forum and taking issue with every anti Spurs post (and there's fucking loads of them).....pissing in the wind.

The main problem with Liverpool is the fans. This season, you're fans have become absolute ****s and it's fucking unbearable.

Where did I say anything about it being Liverpools fault?

There is anti Liverpool because of the attitude of entitlement of the fans. The fact that Liverpool were bankrupt just months ago, after having hundreds of millions from regular CL involvement should have taught you some humility.

Hm I agree that it's shit when it's half arsed but some of those cl nights with that chant were epic.

Your post is bang on if you were talking about bubbles...

I still think Shitty will win it, and that would be slightly more acceptable than either Arse or Chelscum. I would however not begrudge it if Liverpool wins it as that would be totally on merit.

No, unless Liverpool do a 'Mind the Gap', it is going to Anfield. They've beaten Man U, Everton, Arsenal, us, City all at home - every 'rival' has lost at Anfield and half have been spanked there.

Chelsea may stop them, but still...

Rodgers was the one to get...

Funny how people like different things. IMO YNWA is the gayest song I've ever heard. Makes me cringe every time I hear the scouse singing it.

If Liverpool win the PL this season, then it surely must be up there with one of the weakest squads to win the PL

The Liverpool v Chelsea game is going to be fascinating now. Jose's primary tactic going away to every big team, has been keep it tight, maybe play Ramires and Lampard as extra DMs. Now they have to go for it, and they know Liverpool will come out at them. Tactically, there will be so much going on. Tim will be looking at how much both sides roll their sleeves up on TV, no doubt.

Out of all the contenders, I'd have the least moaning if Liverpool wins it as they'd have earned it the proper way.

Out of interest, does anyone know where I can find the title odds from before the season started? Were Liverpool more or less likely than us to win it according to the bookies?
