Try reading the date at the top of the article you frigging plank :bang:

Firstly be careful how you address people you don't know and secondly when did promises have expiry dates?

You seriously expect them to be able to finance Parker's £75,000 a week wages in the fizzy pop league?

And also, I think if you took the time to check recent developments, you might find that relegation has, how shall we say, refocused their promises.

It really is going downhill at avalanche proportions when people are making veiled threats on an internet forum.

How about when you can't afford to pay wages....then you need to break promises.

Also, we lent them a star striker since then.......

People saying Foster, do you think Gomes would have let both those goals in that Foster did on Sunday, particularly the second one.

I think you're in trouble when you go down the route of imagining who might have saved who; we'll all just imagine what we like!

The only reliable way to judge the two keepers is the evidence of your eyes (ony works if you've seen enough of both) and wary use of stats.

In 2008 Gomes saved 79.1% of shots on target. In 2009 he saved 79.0%. This year he saved 75%. That makes his three season average at 77.7%.

Foster on the other hand saved 78.1% this year, but in previous years he didn't have enough game time to really make it worthwhile quoting the stat. We can have a quick look at his three year average and that's 78.3%

Here's the breakdown: (TSG - Total Shots on Goal. TS - Total saves. S% - save percentage)

Player / TSG / TS / S%
Gomes / 471 / 366 / 77.7
Foster / 290 / 227 / 78.3

Pretty much identical then, albeit Gomes' is on a larger sample size.

If it were my business though, I'd be keen to look at trend too and maybe consider whether I give more weight to recent performance over more distant ones.

No threats veiled or otherwise. Its just not a nice thing to do, we all approach things differently I guess.

Only one shout for Jack Collinson so far in the thread ?
This player will be the difference between Spam having a average or a good season next year in the championship if they can hang on to him.
If he can lose his unlucky/injury prone tag then he will be a top 5 Premiership midfielder by the end of January wimdow !

My facts? I was just quoting what David Sullivan said, if you disagree then say so, I am hear to learn. Throwing insults around is very low. You wouldnt say it to someones face, but hide behind a keyboard and throw insults.

Can I have some of what you have been taking please?

In no particular order, all of these players are about two league ahead of Collinson: Modric, VDV, Lampard, Gerrard, Miereles, Essien, Sandro, Huddlestone, Scholes, Fletcher, Toure, De Jong, Mikel, Fabregas, Wilshire, the list goes on....

The article, and the smut merchant's quote, was in the context of our bids for Scott Parker last summer. Your use of the quote, and presentation of it as unequivocal support for your view, was either ignorant or fraudulent, especially given that they have since conceded rather publicly through a number of outlets that they will sell the likes of Parker.

We could spend hours agonising over whether it's mean to use such appalling words as "plank", I for one thought it was fairly measured given your frustrating stubborness and ignorance on the subject.

Loving SC today, we have one thread saying lets buy Aguero, and then we have this thread just below it.

Why don't we combine both threads and we would get a forward line of Aguero and Kevin Phillips for next season........lol.

Parker - think we will sign him, would be good for us. He would provide leadership and a bit of bite. No doubt he will become our top earner but maybe suffer a lot of injuries, not sure he has too many years left in him ? Is his passing any better than Wilsons ? Will need to sell JJ, O'Hara, Nikko, Bentley & Wilson to free up space and wages.

Keeper - Foster is better than Green & Gomes (ask any NON spurs fan). Also English and will want to leave Brum since the got relegated. He'd choose us over Villa due to his Brum links ?

I would say it is. I could very easily see Parker replacing Palacios.

Whether or not Parker is for sale is not in dispute. I was making a point of West Ham not selling Parker to us. If you have quotes on the contrary then fair enough..
