Oh, now we're talking:

Biggested waste-of money 11

-----------------------------------------------

Vega (£3.75)----Richards(£8.1)----Perry(£4)---Thatcher(£5)

Fox(£4.2)----KPB(£5.2)---Sherwood(£4)-----Andy Reid(£4.5)

---------------Rebrov(£11)-----Postiga(£6.25)---------

Team's value (10 players): £56million

I think Kaboul should probably get a mention aswell, seeing as Ramos wants shot of him.

Also, Rasiak cost us a whopping £2.2 million.

Richards for 8.1m has been the worst ever business for us, imo. Truely poor judgement but Hoddle.

Moussa Saib

Lol to be honest i cant remember a great deal he did for us, if anything. Plus his name makes me laugh

For me it was Ramon Vega. I thought Saib was an outstanding player. I am also surprised that people have named Domingues, as I thought he was good player to bring on when we 1-0 down.

Rebrov and Postiga were both decent players, just they were bought as goalscorers, and they're not. Rebrov was Sheva's right hand man, and Postiga did his best work in behind or even when he drifted out left or right. Their Spurs careers were ruined by misconceptions and poor management, which we suffered from in the 90s.

Also, Doherty, although clumsy looking, is a good defender who will always put his body on the line for the cause and brilliant in the air. Was useful if we needed to throw someone up top with 10 minutes to go.

Andy Reid is a very good player, just hasn't got the fitness levels, and did well for us IMO, just was easy to pick on due to his weight.

Although I except all the players named as being pretty useless the two players who I actually saw who were the worst were Ian Moore and Colin Lee. I eeally think Bill Nick was starting to lose the plot abit then.

I might be wrong but wasn't Keith Burkinshaw manager then ? And weren't they the strikeforce when we beat Bristol R. 9-0 ?

Thats a bit harsh, Richards was brilliant at Southampton before he came to us, Hoddle bought us a good CB (although the price was too high), If you look at what forced him to retire it was no surprise he went shit. I should imagine its pretty hard to play with a broken brain.

mine are: andy sinton (oh dear), dean austin (he's a sports therapist now or something; got his own website and everything!), stuart nethercott (part of the bad mid-early ninetees) , paulo tramezanni (gash), clive wilson (just due to how much my mates took the piss), froade grodas (don't remember if he was needed or if he ever played), milenko acimovic (how disappointing he was), and jonathon blondel (see milenko acimovic).

Rory "Bambi" Allen .......

Rory Allen (born 17 October 1977 in Beckenham) is an English ex-professional football player.

A striker, Allen made his professional football debut for Tottenham Hotspur on 4 September 1996 as a substitute in a 1-0 defeat at Wimbledon (aged 18). He went on to score twice in 28 games for Spurs including starting a memorable 3rd round FA Cup tie in 1997 against Manchester United alongside Neale Fenn up front.

Allen was sent on loan to Luton Town in 1997, scoring 7 goals in 9 appearances in what was then Division Two (the third tier of English football). Portsmouth paid Spurs a club record £1,000,000 for him in July 1999, as he became Pompey's first million-pound signing.[1]

Rory retired from the game in 2002 aged 25, having already undergone eight operations to his ankles and knees over the course of his career. He then left to go see The Ashes in Australia, where he saw all five matches. "It was an amazing experience," he recalls, "Despite the scoreline!" [2] England lost the series 4-1.

Rory is now forging a career as a civil servant at the Foreign Office in London.

Think you have to close the book at Nethercott, surely? Never has a man seemed so ill-suited to play his chosen sport

Although I am of the opinion that the reason our club has had so many bad players and players have under performed so much is the quality of manager and frequency they have been replaced (lack of continuity) so the likes of Gross, Ardiles, Francis even Hoddle and Graham are the worst (although equally the people who put them in charge...Sugar and whatever other powers that be who kept hiring and firing the wrong people)

Absolute word, Scholar etc:- actually deserve a lot of flak over the years!

Postiga is class I reckon he would have come good had he stayed another year. Andy Booth, Boateng and Johnnie Jackson. There were others like Doherty but he scored some vital goals for us so hes alright!

If Postiga was class he would have succeeded elsewhere, he hasn't, he's been just as shit as he was at Spurs at every club he's played for since.
