Why have we not utilised our squad ?

So our players are running on empty according to Harry. Great and very encouraging for the rest of the season. Especially with zero signings. Hopefully the under utilized players in our squad like Corluka, Kranjcar, Pav, Sandro along with Pienaar and with any luck Woodgate will get some chances. Palacios and Jenas too should be fairly fresh. Also why did we sign Pletikosa if he is not as good as the very suspect Cudicini ? Gomes still does not look secure. And why did we need to ship out Ohara ?

We should for instance have played some of these against Fulham rather than players who Redknapp strangely admits have nothing left in the tank. Now every game is a big one and I hope he will at least freshen it up from within.

Because Harry, as well as most people on this forum, is reluctant to leave Bale, Modric et al out on occasion.

I'd now be seriously tempted to do something drastic re our striking options.
Try and show faith with Pav and give him a run of games like he does with Crouch and not sub him early either that or not play any of our strikers and give Niko a run along with VDV.
it does seem odd that he'll have faith in some like Crouch but not others.

Around the time that Harry let Bentley leave on loan, he revealed his confidence was shattered because we got on his back when Le Shite spanked us in the cup. So he decided to protect him by freezing him out and making some wisecrack about him picking up injuries every Friday morning. We mightn't have got spanked if Harry hadn't sent out such a mish-mash side against our biggest rivals. I'm all for a bit of rotation but when he experiments, why does it have to be a chaotic mess of players who've hardly kicked a ball for us in a brand new formation? Great for confidence. Just great.

We have the golden boot winner from the euro championship and he sits on the bench. A few games and i am sure he would be the missing link.
We hardly ever use our subs, we our now way behind the top four. Liverpool and sunderland have improved thier squads.
Will we even make the uefa cup?
But hey we got a taste and thats an improvement.

The answer to this is Harrys mantra of playing the best players in a winning team for every game possible. Rather than the best formation and selection depending on the players fitness and number of games played he has adopted the approach of not changing a winning team. Unfortunately it seems as if now we have squad players coming on for injured players with a lack of match practice.

Easy to criticise in hindsight, however what would everyone had said if he dropped Bale, Modric or VDV when they were in the best of form a few months ago?

Its never easy being a Spurs fan, but this is why we love it

Harry is reticent to rotate his players, and often rushes back players when they are not fully fit. Now sometimes that needs to be done, but other times he is simply picking his favourites regardless of form and fitness.

The problem Harry has now is that some players have so little game time that when they do come in from the cold they are not fully match fit, lack sharpness and look crap, and therefore dont perform.

We have one of the strongest squads but are very reluctant to use it. We could also do with, finally, removing the players Harry simply doesnt rate or want.

I'm sick of people saying Spurs have the strongest squad - when we play anyone other than our first XI we really struggle. It's bananas
