Why is Dembele being frozen out?

Bentaleb missed most of pre-Christmas with injury, and only back in the last month.

With Dembele performing well, Carroll too, and Dier an almost permanent fixture in the CM2, its been hard for Bentaleb and Mason to do much more than get on the bench.

That was my exact point. Players are only in on merit and Dembele is currently ranked number 1 and Tom Carroll seems to be ahead of Bentaleb since his return getting the most game time.

Dembele has been the best CM in the league this season for my money, won't get many plaudits though from the so called experts as he doesn't score enough goals.

Phenomenal turn around really, there were times when he looked completely finished as a Spurs player. Fair play to him and Poch

On Whoscored. com, There is no CM who is rated higher than Dembele, and he is currently rated as the 4th best player in the entire PL. Many here think his performances have gone unnoticed, but one of the most recognised and reputable rating systems have him way up there with the best of them.

This article, however, has failed to highlight his best attribute for us this season, his dribbling. He was recognised as the most proficient dribbler in Europe the last time I checked, a month or so ago.
