Don't agree. If you look at what Vieira is buiding at Palace, it's a set to be a very young, dynamic and hard-working team. If Zaha were to leave, they'd take that money an invest in another Eze, Olise etc type of player. They're working to be less reliant on star players and more of a stronger team unit.

Not a chance can I see this happening, distinctly remember the ridiculous fees they asked for a few seasons ago & I don’t see how his form has changed that.

Because he's only year left on his contract and is 29.

I mean it depends obviously if they value keeping him for one more season than say 30 million now.

They're not getting relegated even if they sell so they may be tempted to cash in.

This is also probably Zaha's last chance at a 'big' move.

Would be a clever signing if it were to happen. The ability to make in-game changes and move a player around the attacking 3 spots, without losing much quality, is what teams need to be a constant threat.

Son - Kane - Deki
Zaha - Richarlison - Lucas

Be it injuries, suspensions or loss of form, we'll be able to make all sorts of setups with those 6 potential attacking options.

Playing for Palace for so long you can only assume he’s learnt defensive discipline. Roy Hodgson was his manager fgs. Plus the defensive role our wide 10s have is pretty easy, run back to defend in the 5-4-1 block or push up onto the opposition centre back/full back if we are pressing high.

Where has James been mentioned? Good lord.

Well I'm not sure. If it was the difference between staying up most certainly.

But they'd cope without him I think...in terms of staying up I mean...obviously they'd miss his attacking output.

But if they brought in a quality replacement who's younger with the potential to hit those heights....eg Sarr @ watford.

Then you have a player bedded in and avoid all that the following season.

I think the following would have to happen for this to be real:
1) our cover for Kulusevski comes relatively cheap (the Serbian Thunderbastard from Atalanta?)
2) Winks, Tanganga, Sarr out.

We'd have 2 very good options at every position if we got Malinovskyi, Zaha and another CB in.
