Maybe for Keano, Jenas etc could offload a few fringe players
If he does go for our deadwood, he will cement what i already thought of him , great bloke ...average football manager.
Average is harsh, he got us within a win of getting 4th spot above a very good Arsenal team with a pretty average team and then got us 5th the next year.
Will be interesting to see if he goes for any ex-players. I have a sneaky feeling that Bentley may end up there despite the fact Jol hasn't worked with Bentley before
Ok just above average.....is that better  what Harry has done and the amount of shit he gets is a joke.

We should be very worried now. Fulham I can see challenging for 5th/6th spot in the next season or so. Buying Keane would be an astute move, one of the best strikers in the premiership and he'd get him at a knock-down price. For people with short memories Keane and Jol may be average but were okay at the time. For the rest of us they are highly talented guys who we've cast aside in favour of a bit of flash.
If I were him I'd be looking at Bassong, Kranjcar and maybe Gomes if we're silly enough to let them go.
Actually the amount of shit he gets is because of what he has done. Jol took a decent team and took them from never having played in europe to the verge of the CL. Three seasons running. Harry has taken much better players and done marginally better. If Jol had Bale, Modric, Gomes, Sandro and VDV we would have been top 4 all those years. As it is, we wouldn't have got those players if it weren't for Jol
I disagree...what we count as deadwood (Keane, Jenas, Bentley) are only deadwood because the rest of our squad is now significantly better. Those players would form the backbone for a team like Fulham when you consider where they are in the league and what financial resources they have. It's a no brainer to me, he knows those players well (with the exception of Bentley obviously) so it makes sense he'd go for players he know will make an immediate impact. Yeah it might not show much adventure in the transfer market but why be risky when there're players out there you know from previous experience?
To be fair, BMJ was only 3 points away from getting us into the CL as well, It wasn't as if he was miles behind like Ramos was.....and let's stop with this "we were bottom when Harry took over" stuff as it was not a position reflective of our squad and was, in part, as a result of a player revolt against Ramos.Marginally better....???
Last eight of the Champions league!!
wins away at ...liverpool,the scum, Ac milan, city,
wins at home against ..the european champs, chelsea, the scum, city
CL in his first full season, and making us the talk of the CL.
and all this when we were bottom when he took over the year before..
FFS...Harry has not been marginally better...he has been alot better, show me Jol's major achievments or big wins.
