I don't know, apparently Defoe's fit and Ade is back at worst for Lyon and most likely for Newcastle. It doesn't seem that worrying. We don't have to buy this window.

The Daily Mail are the only outlet reporting the news, lets wait and see.

So the guy has been constantly banging the "I need to play in the premiership" drum yet now he will sign for a russian side just for the money? Sounds odd...

Sorry but do we ever believe the daily mail when they link us with a player? And all of a sudden now they are linking a club with our target we are taking their news as gospel? Lets be sensible here!

think its just because he did an interview for russian media this morning, nothing exciting...the anzhi team are as good as sharing the training pitches in spain so its just putting 2+2 and making zillions out of nothing

This is from Goal:
GLANCE AROUND THE GLOBE/RUMOUR DOUBLE-HEADER

C-c-c-combination! Sky Sports News reports that Anzhi Makhachkala are on the verge of agreeing a deal with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign Willian, the target of Premier League clubs including Tottenham and Chelsea, for a whopping £34 million. Crikey.

If this is true then seriously, wtf....

Willian was avaibale at around £20m last summer - but Levy didn't want to pay the fee back then, most probably thinking his value would drop due to his short contract.
Don't get me wrong, Levy has done an very well as Spurs' chairman.... but at times he simply is far to tight fisted.

£34m. Hilarious

To think he has 18 months left on his contract and come next January he can strike a deal with any team he fancies. I believe it was his goal to play in a more competitive league in order to break into the international side. If this deal happens I find that highly unlikely to happen.

Or this could just be a case of Shakhtar trying to force the player's hand so they can sell him at a huge profit seeing as this is their last chance to do so.
