I still think there is a chance tbh, apparently a reporter spoke to him again this morning and willian said he was still deciding over his move.

IMO, I am just surprised by the lack of pride some of our supporters have, i would not have this wanker at my beloved club for 5 pence, after he f-----d us about

The thing is, the boy is not going to have any loyalty whatsoever towards us or Chelsea. If City came in now and offered him more he'd take it. If he chooses Chelsea, which I think has already happened, then he's just another greedy player strung along by another greedy agent. If he chooses us then you know he's got at least some desire to play football for footballing reasons and not just money.

I'm surprised they havent offically announced him yet. I doubt that Levy would accept him if he did decide to come to us but who knows what's going on. Th new Hulk rummers could have turned up to pressure him somehow. I doubt he will come here tho.

I just don't understand why if he chose us it would be for the "right" reasons.

"We'll, he'd be guaranteed to play and not warm the Chelsea bench." Surely any player worth his salt has got to have the belief that he is good enough to break into any team. If he doesn't then he's probably not worth signing in the first place. Willian will look at Mata, Oscar, Hazard etc, and say, I'm better than them, I'll be the first name on the team sheet.

On top of that he'll be better paid, and competing for PL title and CL. I don't see how we were the more honourable choice in any way, other than partisan wishful thinking.

I'd like to say that the Hulk rumours could be a smokescreen to pressurise him and his agent into making a decision but I doubt it very much. A decision will have already been made I'm sure. The only uncertainty is why it's taking so long to announce him. If it's a bidding war between us and Chelsea for who pays the most wages they'll win every time. Their bench players probably make more than our first teamers.

To be fair, you do have a point. When you look at it that way why would he choose use whatsoever? I guess the only reason would be if we were willing to offer him mammoth wages that even Chelsea wouldn't fancy paying. Not because they can't, but because they don't think he's worth that or wouldn't want to give in so easily to demans. Ironically, that makes him a money grabbing shit, after all. Just our money grabbing shit! :ROFLMAO:

Can't see it happening though. Surely he's Chelsea bound.

Sorry but that's just a spurs-tinted view. If City did come in and offer him more money, he'd be perfectly entitled to take it. It's his career, he can do any damn thing he wants with it. I don't buy this bench warmer stuff either. He'll believe he's good enough to start, in his mind, that's all that matters. He may well be proved to be right as well. Views like that just smack of sour grapes.

Is a tad surprising that this transfer has not been announced by our dear friends in Foolham!

That's fair enough, and yes, it is a Spurs-tinted view. I wasn't really using my noggin and just automatically assuming he'd be bench fodder at Chelsea and would therefore get paid fuckloads to do fuck all instead of be part of a real challenge with us. As danielneeds pointed out above a player worth that money would consider himself to be the bollocks and believe himself to be able to challenge. He'll have no loyalties whatsoever, so it'll just be down to what team is the better team and who can make you a better offer. Unfortunately, Chelsea tick both boxes.
