Have you actually seen this guy play?? Everyone raves about lamela but I can bet you he is better for us for the next few years then lamela would be IMO. I have watched this at guy at shakhtar for 2years and he just creates out of nothing and he just glides amazing dribbler and he can score. Ok so he doesnt score goals oike Bale but he scores more than lennon and siggy and he creates space for others something that would be amazing for bale and soldado. Seriously if we want to finish top this year sign this guy!!

Sigurdsson's goalscoring record > Willian's goal scoring record

If we keep Bale and sign halilovic then willian makes more sense than lamela as lamela and Bale both seem best on the right while willian seems best on the left. Willian would have a year to settle in while Bale's top boy then when bale leaves willian takes over as halilovic gets eased in on the left

He could easily play there. I always knew he was very good dribbler and fast player, but I was very surprised with his creativity and passing ability. If we want our version of Mata or Cazorla he is the one.

Thank you.

With his versatility, he should arguably be our next target.

Sigurdsson's goalscoring record > Willian's goal scoring record

But Willian isn't just a goalscorer, he's an assist machine.

2011-12 6 goals, 17 assists, 39 games
2012-13 8 goals, 15 assists, 35 games
2013-14 0 goals, 3 assists, 4 games

Compared to Siggy:

2011-12 7 goals, 6 assists, 29 games
2012-13 10 goals, 7 assists, 55 games

I was being pedantic - obviously Willian is the better overall footballer but Sig does have a great goal threat too. He was desperately unlucky with hitting the woodwork for us last season.

I'd this lad is as good as people here say, how comes he's only played for Brazil twice? Wasn't in the squad yesterday.

You can ask that about a lot of Brazil players, why some seem to get picked and why some don't, but for the most part they play Neymar on the left of the attack and he's the golden boy of Brazil football

I hope so.

Genuinely gobsmacked over how good people think this guy is. No better than a Victor Moses.

Victor Moses?!

The least you could do is compare him to a similar player.

His skill set is on the same level as Hazard and Mata, he's better than Oscar and Silva and if he came to this league he'd automatically put us on that level and make us title contenders.

Just because he doesn't play for Brazil doesn't mean that he can't be or isn't a quality player.

Ukranian/Russian based players, or ones who haven't previously player in major European leagues, seem to get overlooked.
Which makes Bernard's move all the stranger in a World Cup year. Watch willian join us, tear up the league and take Bernard's WC place.

I can't see us paying any more than 30m, I expect levy would be hoping for nearer 26m like soldado.

Sales have started with Dinamo Moscow signing Zhirkov, Kokorin and Denisov tonight and Zenit clinching Shatov earlier and Boussoufa reportedly having medical with Lokomotiv and Lassana Diarra heavily linked to follow.

Just question of time when Jucilei, L.Traore, Eto'o, Samba and Willian depart.
