If I had 100m to spend, all of it would go on three top notch midfielders. If its not clear by now how deficient we are in that area of the field, I don’t know when it will be. Frankly, or defense could be fairly decent, but with three great midfielders in front of them it wouldn’t look so bad.
If you want 3 great midfielders for 100m you may also need a time machine. Nowadays seems you need someone to run a contract down, and pray their team is still reasonable. Third choice CMs playing second division football but once passed gass while on a tour of Camp Nou are being quoted with 30m price tags, let alone anyone of note.

I'd still like to know the players that 'whoever' at the club, pulled the plug on, on the last day of the window. There were two players that suddenly became no players.

All this wish list shite. Half of the players mentioned are probably not upto the standard that those 'whoever they are' required.

N'dombele seems to be the only one and even then there were supposed question marks about his game.

I'm all in for Bradley Dack, can't go wrong with him. Energy, industrious, runs abaht abit. Sorted.

100 million pounds will only buy you 3 Sissokos, not 3 top notch midfielders.

Out of interest, how much would we need to buy Ndombele, Barrios and De Ligt?

£150m? More?

In my opinion this would give us the options we need to compete again, but fear we’re not eating at that table anymore.

I'd guess:
de Ligt - 85M
Ndombele - 65M
Barrios - 25M

That's very noble of you, I'd probably spend it on stuff for myself.

I'd pay those prices for Ndombele and probably Barrios.

I like de Ligt but that price tag is 25-30M more than I'd be comfortable paying for him.
Yes a lot of clubs would even the so called lesser clubs now spend big but as you know we don't or won't because people think we might do a Leeds which is bollocks.

I don't think even buying those 3 players at those prices AND those players then flopping would cause us to do a Leeds.

BUT to think that it wouldn't have a massive effect on the club is crazy. We'd be set back for a few years. I think you'd be looking at a 6-10 place club rather than a 2-5 place club.

For me we are a top six club top four is just a bonus and the title is out of bounds and I can't see us finishing much lower than 6th or 7th.

We’ve been linked with Almiron of Atlanta United in the MLS

[Fútbol a lo Grande] Miguel Almiron is going to Tottenham from Atlanta United in MLS. The transfer fee is nearly 25 million Euros. (almost $30 million)

I swear Almiron has been linked with half of the PL. I think we have bigger needs in CM and LB.
