During the Spurs games last night, did anyone else notice the BT Sport commentator's insistence on referring to Bruno Fernandes as 'Fernandesh' when mentioning the Man U score? I wouldn't mind so much if he was one of those commentators who took his craft seriously and liked to research the correct pronunciations etc, but with Jenas co-commentating right next to him pronouncing Hoy-be-air correctly, the very same commentator kept calling him Hoy-berg all night! Self-righteous, pompous prick!

Good. That's off my chest :)

On FIFA it’s pronounced ‘Fer-nansh’ by Derek Rae. He also used ‘Jedson Fer-nansh’ for Gedson.

The least appealing pronunciation from him in the game, though, is for Toni Kroos - I can’t even begin to think of a phonetic for that one, but it’s like nails down a chalkboard for me every time I hear it!

He will, but to be fair that pass into him was also stupid.

Not surprising whose brainfart again that was, the defender that seems to have more than a bit of brainfarts week in week out... Dier... people are blaming sissoko he was put in the most dumbest situation, he should never have been put in that position and also the pace of the pass too just poor... Maybe sissoko could have done better potentially but majority of the fault lies on Dier

Rewatching the game, I do agree that the pass from Dier was poor, both in terms of decision and execution. Why play it to our player at the center of our 18 yard box, when they are surrounded by 3 white shirts. Also knowing that this particular player has one of the worst touches of any player in our squad and panics in high pressure situations like that. But the real cherry, was that he walloped it at Sissoko, who never could get that thing under control in time. Not his skill level. And then unsurprisingly Sissoko compounds his error with a disastrous mistake. We have given away some dumb penalties recently, but that one was right up there with the worst of them. But like you say, Sissoko isn’t the sole proprietor of that shit housery.

One more observation about this game... I am surprised that their players didn’t get more yellow cards or even sent off. A number of them committed the exact same foul that got Dele a yellow, and did it multiple times. I think one got a yellow in the end, but the ref was very nice to them. Not to mention that Tanguy had two very good shouts for a penalty. Both occasions there was as much contact (from what I could see) as the penalty he gave them.

Bottom line, is that 4-1 was a very flattering score line for them. Easily could have finished 5 or 6-1.
