This is the first time this season I have seen so many balls played out from the back that went out. I wonder why...
Yeah, we didn’t play that well out from the back. But I think that was because Wolves had the momentum for most of the game so players were a little more shy in showing for the ball and making brave passes. And I don’t think it was necessarily quality. Davies and Dier are decent passers.

we looked more threatening when Bentancur came on because we started passing the ball better with him (although we did concede after that). I think he has to start next game.

Tactics were a joke towards end of the game you cant keep playing this high and attacking every second. there was barely anyone behind the ball

I honestly thought Dier, Davies and Hojgberg were decent today. Certainly did a lot better than I expected. What lost us the game was the lack of creativity. Barely created a chance all match

They were decent. Not as good as the players they replaced of course.

Bissouma, Son, and Sarr all struggled today. And Porro made two dreadful rash errors late in that second half the second of which led directly to their first goal.

I know it's easy to blame the "old guard" but it's the first teamers we should be pointing fingers at because they are the future.

Today was a missed opportunity. I was hoping to see the kids play. Dorrington, Phillips and Donley all know the system and they are unbeaten and top PL2. It's no point blaming Dier and Davies. We know they don't work in Ange's system. Ange should also know this. He needs to be brave.

Better to die on your feet than on Your knees. Audere est facere.
Absolutely this! Telling the players they have to be brave and then go and pick that team.

Don't get me wrong I love Ange and I'm convinced with another couple of windows he'll bring some silverware in, and the good times will be upon us. That was garbage today though, and the bulk of it is on him.

Sent off for what? His first yellow was harsh and the foul given 2nd half he clearly won the ball
he took man and ball... I'm not saying it's a nailed on 2nd yellow... but shitty ref's have given cards for less. Ange subbing him off pretty much says it all
Regardless, our performance across the pitch was atrocious. The ref was the least of our issues

Delusional to think they’re ain’t a problem moving forward, with some of the players who started today.

I'm not saying they aren't a problem going forward. I wish people wouldn't assume and infer so much. I'm saying they didn't have as bad a game as people made out, and that they're scapegoating. The poor midfield and high line press is what caught us.

And yes, I agree we need better than them, but we can't do much about that until future windows.

That will not help. we will still be without VDV and Romero, Dier was fault in both goals today. just ballwatching as a central defender is just so bad. Bentancur was off as well, you can clearly see he is missing gametime, to slow on the ball, but that will come

But think we need to brace for a couple of months with bad football now. Ange will find out after the Villa and City game. can not see us geting anything in those games.

Just look how far we fell of on the creative side when missing Madders, and how slow the passing was from behind with Dier Davies and Hoibjerg.
It’s a slight strengthening. I’ll take any positives at the moment because we do have a rough ride ahead. One game down for the Romero suspension. We really need to pick up something from the remaining two games. Will not be easy.

Dier had a decent game? You watch his performance or just trolling?
I'm no fan of Dier, but given his limitations he didn't make any defensive mistakes as far as i'm aware. And at least tried to play out as instructed and didn't hoof it up the field to no one. Can't pin the blame on him. Blame Levy for not investing, or Ange for not being braver and throwing one of the kids in.

Blah blah blah. It's like a bunch of kids on here. Grow some fucking balls and take a couple of losses as part of the bigger picture. Sorry if sexist, I don't know what the equivalent is for women. We were 10 minutes from going back to the top of the league. Cut the team some slack.

I am loving this new approach but there has to be better game management

Your answer can't be "well to kill the game lets get another one mate"

This isn't the SPL. He just needs to modify certain moments in game. We didn't play well but we were winning on 90 minutes. We won't play well every game. Noone does.

anybody criticising Dier is missing the biggest thief of a wage ever to have pulled on a Spurs shirt; Ben Davies. I used stand in the south lower amazed at how he could get anywhere near our squad. 7 years latter and he’s still costing us goals - played everybody on side for the first goal and then got awarded man of the match!?! The guy just never changes and has never been good enough for our club.

Bissouma was never a yellow, son getting smacked in the face, Porto having his ankles raked, and countless others, and no cards? Also extra 2mins on top of 6mins aswell.
Bissouma should have been booked for a later foul.
The extra time would have counted for their goal.

Unless Ange changes personnel/tactics, the next few games will be brutal, we have a lot of tough fixtures coming up.

Defeats like today and probably over the next few weeks will suck as we've been riding such a high for the first couple of months.

We have a great starting 11 when all fit. We all know it's not great outside of that.

Hopefully we all keep the good vibes around Ange. We'll get out the other side!!

The problem today wasn't down to any individual player. This was a clear case of the collective not having sufficient skill to hide the lack of technical skill of some of the players. If one or two of those players in the starting 11 and we would have missed a beat or two but not much. but the lack of technical prowess meant errant or misweighted passes and poor first touches reducing the time we had on the ball. Add a sprinkling of mis positioning and a lack of pace in the back and the result speaks for itself. Singling players out is useless as there were five or six players who had poor games.

He's the one who hoofed it upfield for a throw in that Wolves equalised. And looked what's the use of him pointing when he conceded the throw.
