I just watched GMTV interview back heel nutmeg hero Russo. They commended her or becoming the first woman with a £1 Million transfer fee and how that will help to advance Women's football, then promptly rolled out her ex head teacher (shes 23) and questions like "did you ever have to sit outside Mr Robins room " came forth.....they give with one hand...
I know this wasn't the point of this message, but Russo will not be the first 1mil fee, not a chance, proper in the moment. The record is down at 250k rn and there's far more high profile players than Russo to move around. Like most female players, shes also on a shorter contract...which expires next year. The pre euro talk was that she was going to walk away from United to the NWSL in America for nothing, although I imagine she will stay in Europe now.

England vs USA tickets sold out within 24 hours.

I was in the queue this morning and had to do something. By the time I tried again they were gone.

I was in the queue for about 4 hours yesterday before I got a ticket. Granted I was only checking every now and again, and wasn’t just sitting staring at the screen for all that time ?

It’s amazing, especially considering their last 2 friendlies had crowds of about 20k and 9k. So glad they’ve taken the opportunity to capitalise. Let’s hope for no Alex Morgan tea celebrations this time!

Always going to be harder outside London and for midweek nights to be fair. Think there's still about 10k available for our final qualifying game against Luxembourg in Stoke on a Tuesday night.

True, but still don’t think we would have sold out, let alone in less than 24 hours prior to this.

Yeah I think they’re realising them at a later date, from what I saw they had the same issue with those tickets where so many people suddenly tried to get them that it crashed the site. I’m amazed that so many want to go to Stoke on a Tuesday, even for this game… I say this as someone who spent 3 years at university in Stoke on Trent ?

If I remember correctly, the Stoke tickets sold out of the initial allocation and they've had to open up more areas of the stands to sell more tickets.

Ah ok, that makes sense. I imagine they initially weren’t planning on opening up the whole stadium, no point in selling patches of seats all around.
I like that they have games away from London. Especially with how experience travelling in general is these days. Not everyone can get to London. Though I can, so I prefer London ?
