Henry is the greatest player of the Prem era, unfortunately.

Are you kidding? The last two years before he left, Ronaldo was absolutely phenomenal. He scored 31 goals in 34 games in one season. Henry couldn't match that even as a striker.

Plus Ronaldo can be consistently put in an all-time-11. Henry wouldn't get a look in...

Ibrahimovich - I have never seen him have a good game let alone an amazing one. Ive watched him for club and country. Maybe I just haven't seen the right games but tonight he isn't proving me wrong (yet), lazy and a poor first touch.

Knew he would score as I posted this

Did you watch the Sweden vs England match?

He did that in one season, Henry hit the 30 goal mark 4 seasons in a row.

Not all about stats anyway, Henry was an utter utter class act every time he stepped on the pitch, the man was an absolute genius - always coming up with different ways to score great goals, he made football look so easy. The only scum player that I've actually applauded and appreciated watching in this league

Ronaldo is a totally different player to him, he's more of a machine but I know who I prefer'(d) watching.

Different ways to score goals? Half were scored running in from the left channel and bending the ball into the far corner. The majority of the others were tap ins from crosses or running beyond the last man and slotting past the keeper. How many headers did he score? How many volleys? How many long shots? Less good than Ronaldo at free kicks too..

I take your point about consistency but there is no argument that Ronaldo isn't the better player.

No, like I said I probably haven't watched the right games. I've watched him for Sweden in other games. Honestly can't be bothered watching England, haven't been for quite a few years. I saw his overhead kick which was quality.

The argument isn't about who was the better player, the argument is who was the greatest player of the prem era....

Henry's goals were more diverse and were easier on the eye. Barthez flick, lobs, piledrivers curling efforts, volleys, dribbles through defences - he did in fact score numerous free kicks if you recall, much more consistent than Ronaldo's

Good array of goals here:

Compare them to Ronaldo's efforts, how many of them were great goals? I remember one against Fulham where he ran from the halfway line, a few decent free kicks in his time, but I was never impressed by his goals, they seems to be more about power more than finesse....

Him and Overmars. Overmars was a special player with a hilarious name. Must say, Lehmann was an absolute joy to watch too, probably all for the wrong reasons!

Oh, and also, you have to tip your hat to Bergkamp...
