We've gone from "it's coming home" to "we're going out in the round of 16" in 90 minutes. I love England fans.

Nobody is saying that but it's fair to say we've made it more difficult for ourselves facing Colombia. Then if we get through we could get Sweden, who will put up two banks of four and effectively say come on then, break us down. Yeah Brazil QF is tough, but no guarantees they will get through their R16 tie.

I'm being honest - I'm genuinely pissed off that Southgate has made so many changes and basically given up on this match. I don't even support England and I'm furious about it. I don't understand why others who do actually support England are not feeling the same. Other than some blind arrogance about their 'path to the final'.

If you could choose one half of the draw or the other you’d be crazy to choose the top half IMHO

People are not being arrogant! Objectively, finishing second is the preferred route. That’s not saying we’ll do it, BUT it does look easier. It’s just a fact. Brazil would be harder to play than Switzerland for example.
