Think going forward England look as good as any team in the competition.

But at the back it amateur hour. 2 shit centre backs, 1 makeshift centre back and a DMF who isn't really defensive

Not imo they weren't.

France was wrong because the ref made his original decision and should have stuck with it. It wasn't "clear and obvious" as indicated by the massive debate about the decision.

Edit - having said that the real fault is on the ref for changing his mind. VAR didn't make the decision. They just referred it. Which is their job

My takes from the first half:
Rose -> Young
Lingard is average and overrated
Kane still doesn’t look 100% fit
Maguire shaky
Trippier has played very well

Tunisia's time wasting and England's finishing makes me want to kill someone.

As a whole I think we've played well. But fuck me Tunisia are out to slow the game down and they're doing it well.

It’s a bit harsh but it was stupid, and we all know Walker has a locker full of stupid.

England had stopped playing a bit before that goal though.

This is my concern with Linguard and Alli in that CM3. Alli justifies the risk because he produces, but Lingard just isn’t creative/productive enough to justify his deficiencies, It lacks an actual metronome, someone to help Henderson manage the game and it’s tempo.

There are no other players in the squad who can do that though. Lingard is probably the most creative attacking midfield player in the squad.

I also do t understand why Southgate has got Kane constantly dropping deeper and playing behind Sterling.

It should be the other way round, Sterling’s much better on the ball than Kane, and he’s a better worker too and would help that midfield out and link it better.

Henderson hasn't been bad. If Lingard could finish the game would be almost over.

Can any law grads/coppers on here let me know whether I can get away with arguing that I was provoked into beating my neighbours to death because of their bloody vuvuzelas

But the var referees will have seen the incident in real time and could have told the referee about the foul on Kane.
If VAR refs won't give penalties for stuff like that ... I don't know, after a perfectly executed VAR call in Sweden-Korea I had hoped for the same standard in other games.

And what's with our defence? If we tightened up at the back after the first few times we gave it away they wouldn't have even got in the final third.

An exciting first half. England unlucky not leading by four or five goals. Kane should've been awarded a penalty. GG
