I’d drop Sterling, Linguard and Young for Rashford, RLC and Rose for the Panama game. Henderson actually did well today so if he’s not resting anyone then he should keep his place.

In the second half Walker forgot that he’s playing as CB when he went rushing up the wing. Tripps sprinted back to cover the gap.

He is NOT a centre back.

He chucked Trippier under the bus trying to blame him for the penalty. So much for togetherness!

I didn't take.it that way to be honest. But you cpuld well be right. I think he was just explaining slight confusion or that he made a mistake despite trippier warning him? Could be wrong. It was a bit of a mean question in some ways as they'd just won and could do with positives as opposed to singling out his error. (Which was stupid)

But how can he be considered good at free kicks if he doesn't score any? It doesn't make sense, and most of the time he doesn't hit the target with them either, he would be much better behind the wall and knocking in a potential rebound as he is genuinely good at that.
I never said that he's good at freekicks, just that he's certainly not shit and in my opinion he's a better option than the rest of this England team. Agree to disagree.

If any of those Lingard chances had fallen to Dele, England would have been out of sight by half time.
Are you suggesting we combine them to create a super mutant mega player? If so I'm in, for God, the Queen and Harry Kane.

Tripper MOTM for me. (Obvs Kane saved us but overall tripper was great all game , some clever balls etc)this was the first time before an England game I was actually excited and the first 15 20 mins or so didn't disappoint we started really well playing the best football I've seen from England and we were pressing them well untill the idiot walker fucked it up. Deffo pen for me. Dunno how they are saying it's not.

Sterling and linguard were really awful. Henderson was better than I thought but still needs to be able to release the ball quicker and be more mobile on the ball. He did make a couple of real nice passes. If Sterling and linguard were better finisherrs we could of killed this game off early on.

In the end it wasn't great but we won and Kane saved us.

2 shots on goal = 2 goals scored. I hope Southgate twigs that Kane is our spearhead, our Ronaldo. Everything needs to be geared to enabling him get chances, because he. will. score.

None of this Sterling/Lingaard/Rashford trying to create mayhem by running all over the place down blind alleys. They don't actually have the technical ability to create like that. Harry is dropping into the hook position, is being bypassed, and completely wasted.

Kane, Dele behind him in the 10, Loftus-Cheek and Sterling running channels, with Henderson holding. Tripps and Rose wing backs, and the back 3. Walker isn't a CB, ever, and Maquire by his own admission is shaky. I fear that Belgium's attack with carve it up.

But sort out the attack to maximise Kanes effectiveness, and we can score shedloads.

He didn’t need to name drop. He could have just said he got a call. Or even better just take the hit.

I would bet walker is threatened by Trippier. Could easily lose his cb place and if Trippier continues his form, he won't get back in the team

That was basically Palace away with the last min H header.

Loftus Cheek looks a player - only Chelsea wouldn’t play such a home grown talent at all

Dele and Sterling will need to pick up their game

Dele far surpasses Sterling and Lingaard imo... The way he glides around the pitch, with an intelligence and instinctive nous that the others lack.

Great game of Ruby played today in the Tunisia penalty box! Some real cruching tackles!

Was a good enough game, think loftus cheek needs to play more! And walker was stupid to leave his arm out but if that was a penalty, where we're England's 2 or 3?!

I think some people need to drop the anti-Liverpool bias. Henderson was fine.

Oddly enough I said he played ok in the pub and got absolutely derided by everyone (none of them being Spurs fans).

I've since decided I must have been overcompemsating for my all consuming hatred of Liverpool for the good of England.
