I hate vuvuzela's with a passion too. I just want to see them broke out one more time just to serve trolling purposes. Like the world would absolutely flip a shit. It would be hysterical to watch, honestly.

Encouraging going forward but as I feared, suspect in defence. We just don't have the calibre of defenders like Rio, Ledley, Terry, Campbell, Cole, Neville, Woodgate any more.

Having said that, I still think we can beat Uruguay and Costa Rica.

I think we also need some guile in midfield. ATM we have some really good young players but in a sense they are all the same...pace, energy etc. Barkley of course does offer something different so I would try to get him in the side even if only for 60 minutes. I also think that Lambert will add something different to the side.
Rooney is wasted being used as a utility player he needs to play at the front or not at all

Thought our fullbacks were poor. Baines hitting the first man alot and then having to resort to playing it back. Johnson inconsistent with balls into the box too. Defensively weak the both of them, loosing their men very easily, but this may be due to a larger communication problem in the back.

Thought Henry's analysis of wellbeck was bang on. Great defensive work but he limits the amount he commits himself forward.

Think the game plan has been sussesd (much like spurs), limit the space they can counter into and you shut out England.

Agree with a few others in that I could see us not getting out the groups. Our defense isn't strong and consistent enough. I think alot of pressure rests on the young lads to pull something out the hat and I don't think that's fair.
