They'll get taken apart by the Germans, especially without Silva

Brazil were very dirty tonight, and they are a bigger threat from set pieces than they are in open play. Neymar didn't turn up either, but I think he's overrated anyway

Stoke in yellow

Well, neither Neymar's genuinely slipped a disc or he's just play acting for the cameras. We'll soon find out if he makes a miraculous recovery for the semis.
Probably some elaborate marketing ploy for a miracle cure...

Pfff. I feel bloody knackered just watching that.

Have to say, despite the ref allowing Brazil to kick the shit out of Rodriguez, you have to admire Brazil's defensive commitment in and around there box. So many last ditch blocks and tackles. It's just so far removed from the Brazil everyone has grown up with.

I think Ze Germans might spoil their party though.

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd want Germany to beat Brazil... but that day has arrived.
Just said exactly the same thing to the mrs.usually enjoy watching brazil but with townsend up their arses along with his Itv clones and ref giving them a freekick every time they lose the ball I love them to lose now

How many players do cross the ball that hangs up, not many, a shame really

Just need different freekicks depending on the situation. From that far out I always shake my head at kick takers who try to whip them in flat, the odds of getting the right trajectory on them are extremely low. So much easier to hang one up in a dangerous area and give your players something to attack and more chance of 2nd balls to compete etc.

Not as bad as what I saw numerous times from Spurs last year though... Losing a game, freekick a couple of mins from the end and we still take it short and go backwards. Now that is the epitome of dumbness.

Can see Germany knocking Brazil out. Colombia were over awed by the occasion and allowed the game to descend into an incoherent shapeless frantic mess. That won't happen to Germany.

I agree but for some reasons players don't do it too much, perhaps because it takes a cool head and needs a bit of thinking to do it and slow the game down in your head

Disappointed. Have a horrible feeling that Brazil will go all the way, particularly with these refereeing decisions. Worst Brazil team and they could possibly win the bloody thing, the jammy fucks.

I want to see a new team win the WC this year. Colombia gone, Chile gone. Holland/Costa Rica/Belgium it is then!

This is why I'm in favour of Michel Platini's idea of staging a tournament over multiple countries. It takes away the pressure on a host country and maybe we would be spared weak refereeing.

Germany haven't won the World Cup before. (Technically speaking.)

And how many yellows? Only 4. James got a yellow for pulling out of a challenge despite getting kicked to buggery all game and Yepes for dissent. Thiago got a yellow for GBH. Cesar was lucky to get away with just a yellow.

Ref really wasn't in charge for that game.

But that isn't what Brazil is about is it, thats not why they were everybodys 2nd team is it.

Pile of shit team.

I'll take Neymar and the 2 CB's are decent thats it.

Also didn't give enough injury time imo. Should have been 6 or 7 minutes to be honest.

I suppose, but the record books say otherwise. Out of the teams that have already won I'd only want Argentina to win, purely for Messi.

Don't get me wrong, I agree. This is a horrible Brazil team.
