That makes Barca even more desperate for Teeth. Bigger windfall for Liverpool.

Well. This notable time Fred makes a name for himself other than "Where"

Kind of scary how they carted him off the field, considering the injury. Lucky they did not drop him and cause more injury. You would think they would be more careful with a back injury.

The thing is it doesnt, Suarez is expensive as it is considering he could be one stupid thing. All this means is that Alexis is staying and worth noting that the spanish press never linked him with a move away.

Considering suarez isn't back for four months, they clearly need Alexis and who knows Neymar maybe back by then but Im looking forward to potentially seeing this

Alexis

O/T have you seen 30 for 30 film, in to the wind, inspirational and sad that had it not been for that film I would never know who Terry Fox is:cry:

I have indeed. Just an amazing story and I too have to admit I wouldn't have known who Terry Fox was if I hadn't seen the 30 for 30 film. :(

Think we saw two experienced teams who know how to win yesterday.

Germany and Brazil - neither won pretty, but got the job done to secure semi final position against each other.

It's this sort of stuff that when it comes to England we are too proud or too honest to do, and it's why we will never win anything again, because we don't know how to do it 'ugly' when it's needed.

Referee was terrible in the Bra/Col game though.

Kinda rooting for Germany in that Semi final, but suspect it could still be an Bra/Arg final!

For me the ref's performance was summed up when the Colombians had a free kick first half . The Brazilians ignored his white line anyway with 2 runners closer....but then as the Colombian ran up to take it , the runners ran forward...at the moment the kick was actually taken , they were 2 yards tops away from the ball and blocked the free kick from there . Fucking disgrace .

The Brazilians will do anything to win and if a ref shows he'll be lenient like last night they'll go as far as they can . It needed a swift couple of yellows early on , but he bottled it . Green light to the Brazilians to turn the match into a scrappy series of free kicks as the blocked and fouled every time the Colombians got going . I was sorry they won . Puts me in the unfamiliar position of supporting the Jerries . They'll need all their reserves of calm to come through a torrid night on Tue .

beautiful girl btw .

I guess like a lot of people you missed the assault on Neymar a few mins before the penalty?

The ref wasn't biased. He was just shit.

I agree with the general opinion that the totally inept referee ruined that game by allowing Brazil to kick Colombia with impunity, (although clearly the pre-mediated attitude of the Brazilians had something to do with it).

What I'd really like to know is how did FIFA allow this ref to have another game after not sending Diego Godin off against England for two bookable offences?

And no, I have no axe to grind (other than the fact that time after time hopeless refereeing ruins the World Cup) as I'm neither English nor Colombian.

Fifa know what they are doing.

You have weak refs and strong refs

You have Strict refs and lenient refs

You have homer refs too, they are all analysed to the minutest detail add to that a couple of subtle hints before the game and there you have it.

Are you insinuating that FIFA give the home team an easy ride? C'est ne pas possible!

But the point remains,if you make a mistake of the magnitude made by this ref in the England/Uruguay game you should be sent home, not given another game.

I don't think neymar's injury will hurt Brazil too much. I think they may even play better as a collective group without him.

I don't think Scolari is getting his tactics right, but I also think people are kind of ignoring the fact that they've come through a very tough group and then overcome two bloody tough teams. Previous successful Brazilian sides have had similar qualities, ie have actually been more about tenacity and determination than flair, with a smattering of talent.

People were criticising oscar last night, but he worked fucking hard off the ball. And when you are playing a damn good team, that's sometimes what you have go do, just find a way to win, which Brazil keep doing.

Well , I think you may be overrating Brazil there a tad BC . Remember it was the width of the bar that prevented a loss to Chile . That's called plain good luck to me .
