B-C as I've already said, this/you are boring. But, as a final point, when are you going to acknowledge my absence from your hundreds of threads bashing Robbo and Dawson? You seem to have got it into your head we've had some big clashes over these two. I think Dawson gets more criticism that he deserves on here and is no where near is bad as is made out, but I don't get into arguments defending him. I don't think I've posted in a thread concerning Robbo for 18 months. I never saw the issue as players that were here pre the summer 2006, so i've never really been interested in arguing about them. It's the players since then that bother me and their standards or suitability to help us close what was just a 2 point gap.

Dawson and Robinson used to be quality

And now we have Woodgate and Gomes.

Berba and Keane used to be quality. Teddy and Jurgen used to be quality.

If you stand still long enough you'll get cobwebs - they may keep you warm, but you'll eventually get bitten.

We've employed shake 'n' vac ramos, he'll put the freshness back. But we need to put in the hard work beforehand.

The reason the Dawson & Robinson thing are so relevant is because I believe that amongst the various other failings of Jols his refusal to drop and replace these two clowns (three if you include Chimbonda) did him more harm than his other shortcomings ultimately. We had no problem at all scoring if we could have only have stopped conceding ludicrous set piece and other individual error type goals I'm sure his position would have remained very secure for much longer.

This was an area we argued about. You refused to accept that these were major fuckups by Jol. The first thing Ramos has done is replace Dawson and Robinson.
Would we have won the cup if he hadn't ? who scored the winner and was outstanding ? Dawson's replacement.

Even now you cannot bring yourself to say that Dawson is shit. Because it would reflect badly on your beloved Jol.

Dawson was the only CB we had in 2006-2007 that stayed unbroken for the duration of the season—also for the first half of last season (except for Kaboul). Ramos preferred him to Kaboul—as he preferred Chimbonda (and just about anyone else) to Lee. I don't think Jol has a monopoly on dubious selections by any means.

But as you know from the Jol quotes I provided he wanted an experienced CB. You are aware we signed Ricardo Rocha right? He just wasn't deemed good enough by either Jol or Ramos. If Jol didn't want a more experiecne CB then why the fuck did we sign Rocha? But no matter what you think, since we've signed Woodgate, things have hardly gone well have they? We've taken just 21 points since Woodgate arrived in Jan. Do I now have to add poor transfer targets to the list of things Jol was responsible for? It's ever growing. i'm amazed we won a single game with this man in charge, let alone finish 5th twice! It seems everyday you come up with something else to blame Jol for and criticis. It's as if you've had your eyes closed fot the last 10 months. Even if we finish 4th this season, the last 10 months must surely show you where the real problems were. It's like you are living in your own little universe in which we gone from strength to strength since Jols sacking and are now up there with Arsenal and Liverpool.
