Considering everything (financial, playing side, Ramos' wishes, impression it gives to fans/media, the market as it is) what prices would you set for Berbatov and Keane?

I would set a price for Keane of around £22 million and around £30 million for Berbatov. If someone came in with a bid of those amounts and the players wanted to move, then I would accept.

What would your prices be?

Anything that would fund for an adequate, if not better replacement for them both. Probably similar, £20-25m for Keane, and £30-35m for Berba.

Man City bid 32 million for Berbatov in January.Adebayor is supposedly valued at 35 million,Man U payed £28 million for Veron and Chelsea payed £30 million for Shevchenko.

So anything less than £32.5 Million for berbatov is not acceptable imo. So berbs £32.5m.

£20 million for Keane as hes easier to replace imo.

is that true that city bid that much for berba?

berbatov price

premiership team 35mil

foreign team 30mil

keane

prem team 20mil

foreign team 20

this gives us a potential 50 mil war chest for our strikers with it i would go out and try to get arshavin and either pavleuchenko or santa cruz. and then with the remaining money spend on improving other areas of the squad if necessary but first of all i would give my self a big bonus of 15mil max and then let ramos and commoli do what ever.

The problem is that both players have confirmed their desire to leave. If The Scousers and Manc's fail to meet our valuations, and no transfer is concluded, are we left with two demoitivated individuals who will become a negative influence. Levy is right when he says he only wants commited players, but this will come at a price and a possible compromise.

Keane = £16M max - Should be £20M but won't happen

Beranatov = £22M max - should be £30m, but no one is prepared to pay that, maybe Barca at £25m, but if Berba wants Man U then we are snookered

Completely agree Fozzi, there are in an identical situation. If Manu and Liverpool won't stump up the cash that we want, simply refuse. If Keane and Berbs dont like it, send them home and wait it out

I actually think Keano is impossible to 'replace'. He's an amazing asset to our squad, a goal scorer, someone who gets back, a leader, he's possesses so much!

I'd want minimum 20mil for him (plus compensation :) )

With Berba, seeing as Adebayor is rated so highly, ideally 28mil for him!

If i was Daniel Levy, i'd get a hair transplant and spend 1m on getting Angelina Jolie and Kelly Brook over for one night of anal ruining.

Then i'd report a couple of wank-stained clubs to the PL before keeping all our players and chucking in a cheeky bid of 8m for Ferdinand and Vidic, plus a 7.5m bid for Gerrard and Torres.

I think we should tout Berba off anywhere for 1/2 the price that we would want from MU, just to wrangle Danchev et al (also demand that no move will be sanctioned until a written transfer request is made) thus further lowering Danchev's cut

then Sell Keane to the scousers, i think this would be another mistake in Robbie's career, i am not too bothered about him going either i never thought we would get to the next level with him in our team (IMO)

and lets face it Benitez is not going to change his style of play, so RK will end up playing the Kuyt or Cisse role. and i can see him being benched within a couple of months of arm flapping and fourth place chasing.

how good would it be if he does go to the B'dippers and we finish above them

If they want out then it might still make sense to keep them until the next transfer window. They wouldn't lose value over a few months and it'd give the other signings time to settle in to EPL. Another factor could be that Ronaldo would be back from injury and perhaps less need for Manure to get Berba. We could be heading in the right direction by that time and so able to attract good options if they still want to leave.

You guys dont seem to understand that we hold all the cards.

If we get good replacements and the money we want (all upfront) then let them go.

If we dont get the money or the replacements Berba or Keane should go no where.

Who cares what Man U or Liverpool think, who cares what berba or Keane think. If I was D Levy I would say: "listen chaps they obviously dont want you enough to meet your valuation. You can either moan and sit on the bench for the rest of the contract or worst in the reserves. Or you can put even more work in and show the stupid f**ks what they are stumping the cash for."

Do you think either Berba or Keane are stupid enough to kick up a fuss. No, otherwise their careers would go down the pan and Liverpool and Man U would move on to the next flavour of the month. (Anyone remember the rise and very quick fall of the very promising Marco Negri after he kicked up a fuss??)

If Wenger can say to his players (Henry, Vieira, A.Cole) I need another season from you then you can go then we can too. yes, Man U and Liverpool are bigger clubs than us, but we are by no means the little boy of the playground, we can throw our own weight around too. We can afford to put them both on the bench for the rest of their contracts, we can afford not to let them go to either team and still bring in quality replacements.

Agreed If our valuation isn't met.Ie 20 million for knobbie and at least £30 million for berbatov, and we havn't found suitable replacements, then the two players have no right to complain if they have to stay.

Like others have said they're not gonna just wanna watch their carreers go down the toilet, so they will have to try if the bin dippers and mancs don't stump up the money.

We say ok we're gonna let you go half way through your contracts, so in return you have to respect that if we don't get the money we 're asking for, and the right replacements beforehand, then you have to play as you normally would if these 2 scenarios arn't met.

Ie the valuation and the replacements brought in first.

I don't see how they can argue with that.

If they deliberatlly played bad after this, the spurs fans would crucify them so they would have no choice but to knuckle down.

definately take barca's offer for berbatov, better to them than manu. I'm sur ehe could be persuaded.

Try and find another non-English buyer for Keane. We do, after all, have our eye's on the scouser's place in the table. no point in helping them stay there.

Then again, not sure keane is the answer to their problems, feel they've been in dire need of a couple of pacy creative wingers for the past few seasons. So fuck 'em, try to get as much of their ltd transfer budget out of them, 25m should do it, and let them flounder
