Bloody tragic really when you think of the 3 of them.
It was only recently that I was wondering what had become of Woodgate. I see he's at Middlesbrough. What a terrible shame. His reading of the game was dynamite.

As for Younes, my heart goes out to him. I felt it was not looking good for him or us but I didn't think he'd have to retire. Fucking hell.

Does anyone else here think it's a shame that we didn't manage to sign Gary Cahill 2 or 3 years ago?

Gutted. How much bad luck do we have with central defenders? Fair enough Woodgate was always injury prone, but first Ledley now this, it's getting a little silly. Really disappointed as he looked incredible against Newcastle.

Hopefully he has not been told to by a doctor but is psychologically drained of all these other injuries he feels he hasn't got any more fight in him

I have heard nothing about his knee for months, its all been about calf/thigh etc, so hopefully it is a case of he has had enough but changes his mind

Well least baldini has something to focus on. The rest of the squad is fine assuming no one leaves.
Unfortunately the ones perfect for us, zouma and mangala already have united, city and Chelsea circling. But guess this is baldini's problem

Is Kaboul still expected to retire at the end of the season considering how he is getting through games now, and out performing a seemingly fit vertonghen???

Ledley was due to retire for about 4 years before he did... From what has been spoken in the club its not been his knee that has been the problem but the muscle injuries picked up as a result of not playing for so long... good to see him getting a run of games and hopefully proving Breezer wrong...

I think the talk of his dimise is very premature. He was injured for a long time and has had typical muscle injuries as a result but he has played 4 of the last 5 games (in quick succession) and each game looks stronger, fitter and faster. I think if he plays through the rest of the season and has a clear summer he will be close to his best for the new season which will be a massive bonus. Now we just need 3 new defenders beside him and we'll have a chance of winning a few more games!

I love Kaboul.

Should be our captain once fit, no doubt about it.

Would love him to stay fit and play for another few seasons. Just telling you what I've been told. We'll see at the end of the season.
