Was the Ginola one in the same game that Darren Anderton scored a very similar goal? Can vaguely remember them both scoring lovely goals in a cup game.
No Ginola was away in a midweek Cup replay in the 1/4s, wet night at Oakwell. The round before is what you’re thinking of, 2-0 win over Leeds in a replay again (first game at Elland Road was 1-1 after Sherwood put us ahead). Ginola that game saw two shots saved after mesmeric dribbles, one of which he went right to left across the penalty riding several Leeds challenges before seeing Martyn somehow tipped his shot onto the post... George Graham had started celebrating. Eventually though he scored a bullet volley from outside the area where he hit it having jumped with both feet off the ground as he made contact. Anderton also scored a great goal, very long shot from out wide on the right (similar to Carr v Man Utd if you remember that).

Oh this is difficult.

So many criteria to judge it one;

Do I go for pure emotion over quality?
- Lucas against Ajax
- Stalteri against West Ham
- Woodgate against Chelsea
- Bentley volley against Arsenal when I was drunk only with Arsenal fans
-Crouch against City

Those you grow up appreciating because they are in Spurs folklore even though they are years before my time?
- Villa v Man City
- Gazza feekick
- Hoddles chip

Effect it had on the crowd when I was at the stadium?
- Kane header from Bentalebs cross against Arsenal
- Carr against Utd

Beautiful goals that have stuck in my head from games i've been too?
- Kanoutes volley against Everton
- Just Bale in his last season before Madrid
- Keane against Blackburn

And then you have all those goals from when you were a child and players like Chris Armstrong and Steffen Iversen (depressing) are your heroes and every goal they scored, in my head, were the most important and amazing things. And theyre my favourites too - because it was just pure love for your team without any of the negativity you have as you get older. It was just about loving Tottenham and loving football and it's just a bit more pure when you're a kid.

Janssen v Bournemouth from 3 yards was a personal favourite just for how happy he was :)

One's not mentioned so far I'd say:

Klins home debut overhead kick against Everton...

One of the 5-1 against Arsenal in the League Cup Semi- maybe the fourth one I finally believed..

Eriksen's versus Madrid

Gazza free kick against Arsenal in the FA cup semi final.

Stalteri scoring the winner against West Ham - genuinely thought this was going to relegate them.

Kane’s curler against Arsenal from the edge of the 18 yard box.

Ginola vs Barnsley.

Bale vs West Ham.

IIRC he scored that either just before or just after the United one. I'm sure they were close together but then again, it was 40-odd years ago so.......

That goal against Forest was the one that didn’t touch the ground from leaving the keepers arms till it hit the back of the net. Could easily make a list of top five Hoddle goals. My favourite ever Spurs player. I’ve seen that man do things with a ball that even Gaza couldn’t. His weaker foot was better than most players best foot.
