As title. The criteria are yours to decide. Sexy goals, important goals, team goals, individual goals. Up to you.

Mine:

1. Hoddle vs Watford
2. Tanguy vs Sheffield Utd
3. Dele vs Crystal Palace
4. Gazza FK vs Arse
5. Tied between Stalteri vs West Ham for sheer emotion and Crouch vs City for the importance of it

(7-10 would all be Kane or Son goals I think)

Glenn Hoddle chip vs Watford - YouTube

1. Lucas vs Ajax

Rest I would need to think

2. Kane v Arsenal, 2-1 85th minute
3. Dier v West Ham, his first game for us
4. Bale v Inter, take your pick, they were all basically the same
5. Lucas v Barca, unexpected advance in CL

Honorable mentions: vdVaart v Sunderland (my first goal live in stadium), Bale v Stoke (love this technique), Huddlestone v Arsenal (my first NLD)

It's all about the cup competitions for me, so it's

1. Gascoigne versus Arsenal
2. Ricky Villa versus Man City
3. Lucas versus Ajax
4. Roberts versus Anderlecht
5. Ginola versus Barnsley

Any excuse to watch this again...

If we are talking emotional, then Lucas Moura's hattrick goal v ajax must be up there?

Again, all about person opinions this one. Unfortunately I don't have SKY/BT sports so I didn't get to see it. If I had then it may well have been in my top 3.

2 random ones I can think off that might not be on many peoples lists

1) Stephen Carr vs Man Utd in the pouring rain at WHL - memorable to me for more than just the goal.
2) Erik Edman vs Liverpool

Edman v Liverpool would definitely be on my list. Wanyama v Liverpool not far behind either.

Villa was a special one! You could make a dozen different criteria and have a dozen different top 5's. I expect most of us could agonise for hours over a top 20. My method was just to pick them on immediate instinct rather than have a huge internal debate, otherwise I'd have to deal with Bale vs Milan, Villa and Ardiles, and a dozen more Hoddle goals :D

I’m only going to use goals that I was aware of in real time by seeing live or highlight of shortly after, otherwise there’s about 30 years worth of goals on vhs that my dad taped my eyelids open I’m front of when I was a child.

  1. Ginola v Barnsley - told you everything you need to know about what a left winger should be capable of.
  2. Bale 3rd v Inter away - being there to see it in the goal in front of me made it all the more special, my first away day in Europe too, but that was the crescendo reached after a 10 months of him bubbling away from almost being loaned to Forest to becoming the most exciting talent at the club (and still not near his peak). We were witnessing the transition from potential to class almost in the turn of a page.
  3. Kane v Arsenal in early 2016... even sullied by the Sanchez equaliser quickly afterwards, the euphoria at seeing our homegrown star striker score from an outrageous angle and distance against our biggest rivals solidified this near the top.
  4. Woodgate v Chelsea 2008 league cup final - seeing at that point our most enjoyable (and best) team in my lifetime finally win a trophy, and to do so in such dramatic fashion, will always be in with my most cherished Spurs moments.
  5. Lucas v Ajax/ Crouch v Manchester City... can’t split these two, the emotion they both created and the explosion of joy following matches that were so tense I can’t describe, each the culmination of a few consecutive seasons where we were trying to take the next step. The goal that bumps these two down will be the one that wins us the league.

Glenn Hoddle v Forest circa 1979. Showing my age but I remember watching it on the Big Match on a Sunday afternoon. An immaculate volley.

Giving this an 80's flavour......

Hoddle v Manchester United
Hoddle v Watford
Hoddle v Oxford
Villa v Man City
Ardiles v Manchester United

There are very many goals that came to mind afterwards, some of which have already been named but these popped into what passes for my brain first so.............:D

IIRC he scored that either just before or just after the United one. I'm sure they were close together but then again, it was 40-odd years ago so.......

From a purely aesthetic perspective, mine would be Hoddle's chip, Huddlestone vs Arsenal, Erik Edman vs Liverpool, Bale vs Stoke and Wanyama vs Liverpool. Any order.

Moura v Ajax
Woodgate cup final
Rose v Arsenal
Bale v Inter
Crouchie v City

Some not the prettiest, but certainly evoke memories of the sheer delight the moment brought for different reasons.

Loads more I could choose, Gazza free kick, Berbatov v Charlton iirc correctly lol, let the ball run past him and ran from halfway line to score.

Son's last season, all 9 against Wigan. Was listening live on the radio that day.

There's loads. But without really taxing the memory too much, the 5 picked certainly came to my mind's fore pretty quickly so went with them.

EDIT: Modric v Liverpool. Get da feck in.
