Just doing 3...

1. That Ricky Villa goal vs City to win the FA Cup
2. Glenn Hoddle vs Forest, the ball didn’t even tough the ground!
3. Gazza Free Kick vs Arsenal to put us into the final...

There are so many others, Crouch to put us into the CL for the first time, Woodgate to win us a League Cup final vs the blue scum... but those three define my Tottenham Hotspur.
I'm adding Greaves V QPR 1968 at Loftus Road my first ever match.

Son v Burnley watching that unfold and willing him to score was incredible.

1. Lucas vs Ajax. No explanation needed.
2. Nielsen vs Leicester. My one and only visit to the old Wembley. Reward for sitting through a shite game and Savage being a ****.
3. Kane vs Arsenal (2016). My last game at the Lane, the atmosphere was sensational. Still pissed off at Hugo for the equaliser.
4. Woodgate vs Chelsea. The combination of it being such an important yet hilariously terrible goal was amazing.
5. Stalteri vs West Ham. Went absolutely mental.

Good thread (y)

kane v the arse ( in the mask) put us 2-1 up? crowd exploded!

This, me and Dad went, I treated us to tickets at the time but it was worth it just for that goal, ignoring the result, that moment will live with me for a long time. The crowd just went nuts, I think my dad ended up 3 rows ahead of me, the crowd that day was electric.

Top five for me would be:

Lucas winner vs Ajax
Kane vs Arsenal with the mask
Son vs City (either 1st leg or 2nd leg)
Crouch vs City to get us CL
Kane vs Chelsea when he smacked it from about 20 yards out, then proceeded to destroy them

I have picked 5 goals purely from games I was at- some amazing some emotional, I'll probably remember other ones I liked more but these all had something about them:
Des Walker own goal FACF 1991- the only trophy I have ever seen us lift live
Iversen v Wimbledon LCSF2L to put us in the final- bedlam at Selhurst Park and singing in the streets of Thornton Heath, where I lived at the time.
Klinsmann's fourth goal at Wimbledon to confirm our PL place- it was so hot that day and the goals came so close together I almost passed out. Joyous.
Sissoko's volley v Bournemouth last season was an eruption of joy and disbelief and we couldn't stop singing his name. Yes, I've seen Sissoko score. (and he did it again v Burnley)
Son v Burnley- superb goal with me shouting "Drop it off" and looking an ass!

Honourable mention for Kane's "Now fuck off!" goal against Olympiacos last season. Anyone who was there that night will tell you how their fans had infiltrated every area of the ground and they were not discreetly watching they were giving it large when they were 2-0 up. We had some of their fans directly behind us and this old boy was mocking us, saying we were shit and Jose was a bad appointment. he was going on and on and on. I just sat there seething and took it, thinking if we get back in this you are gonna get it mate, I was noisy at 2-2, in his face at 3-2 but when we got that fourth goal you best believe this guy knew about it! I asked him why he was still here and asked him to go forth and multiply- sideways! I was on him so much he had to leave to huge cheers from everyone around. Awesome stuff.

Moura 3rd goal against Ajax
Bale against West Ham
Kane against Arsenal when he ripped his mask off - more in the moment as it genuinely felt like in that moment we were going to win the league.
Dele vs Palace
Eriksen vs City on valentines day a few years back, last minute - again thought we had a real chance of winning the title with that one.

Love this goal, not sure where it ranks in my top 5 but it's in there, always comes to mind along with Pav Liverpool when I think about favourite goals. Will post top 5 later.

I love the variety we are getting in this thread. Exactly what I hoped for. Personally I love pretty, technical goals, so I'm not sure Hoddle vs Watford with the pitches and balls as they were back then can ever be topped (for me personally).

Who was the VDV goal against where there is that well known pic of him arms aloft in front of "the game is about glory"? Pretty sure he went and hugged and kissed an old lady, although I might be conflating 2 different goals.

Pretty crazy that my instinctive 5 have no Kane, No Son, No Bale, No Berba, No VDV. So many great goal scorers over the years. Watching all the youtube clips this morning has put me in a good mood for the day :)

I'm going to read back over this thread after posting these and realise that in reality most of these don't even make my top 10, but:

1. Lucas (3) vs. Ajax
2. Crouch (CL Qualification goal) vs. City
3. Woodgate (CC Final '08) vs. Chelsea
4. Eriksen (Winner, 2-1 game 2016) vs. City
5. Kaboul (Winner, 3-2 from 0-2 in 2011) vs. Arsenal

Kaboul's goal probably shouldn't have made the list, but it was extra special as I was round my ex's at the time, and her entire family are Gooners. I remember the first half was absolutely brutal.

Difficult to do a top 5 but these ones stand out:

Gazza v Arsenal
Iconic. Probably the most famous goal of my time as a Spurs fan

Lucas’ hat-trick goal v Ajax
Probably one of the best feelings I’ve ever had in my life. Utter disbelief and joy. It’s the most excited I’ve ever been as a Spurs fan

Danny Rose v Arsenal
I was sat right behind it in the East Stand. Not only was it an unbelievable strike, the noise and celebration in the stands that followed will stay with me forever. They were a top team back then and we always struggled to even get a draw from the derby. It was a turning point and a magical moment to be there at the old WHL.

Dele v Palace
For skill alone this has to be up there. It was technically probably the best goal I’ve ever seen a Spurs player score.

Bale v Stoke
For me this was Bale’s best goal for us. Again, the technique to get his let that high, foot over the ball and still have enough control and power to send the ball back in the opposite direction and into the top corner... just wow.

Others I love for either their skill or the moment they gave us as fans:
  • Kane v Arsenal (curler)
  • Crouch v City (first UCL qualification)
  • Kanoute volley v Everton
  • Zeige free kick v Arsenal
  • Carr v Man United
  • Ginola v Barnsley
  • Ginola v Leeds (volley)
  • Lennon v Chelsea (circa 2006)
  • Klinsmann (overhead kick) v Everton
  • Kaboul v Arsenal at the Emirates

One goal most probably won't remember, but Paul Stewart against Coventry in 89/90.

Back to goal in the penalty area, flicked over his head, turned and volleyed into the far corner.

This is very much off the top of my head, so I'm bound to forget some, but I'll try:

1. Lucas vs. Ajax
2. Bale vs. West Ham
3. Kane vs. Arsenal (that goal)
4. Alli vs. Palace
5. Kane vs. Arsenal (2-1 at WHL, cross from Bentaleb)

Honorable mentions to Crouch vs. Milan, Crouch vs. City, Wanyama vs. Liverpool, Son vs. Burnley, Arsenal this year, and the run vs. Chelsea at Wembley, Lamela vs. Apoel.

That VDV goal, I believe, was against Woolwich, I think we won 2-1, 2011.

Lucas – Third goal vs Ajax
Rose vs Arse
Dele vs Palace
Bentley vs Arse
Bale vs Stoke

So many other goals that could be in this list. I was supposed to go to the Burnley game where Sonny scored his Puskas goal but gave my membership card to my mate after we left the Bayern game ("I'm not going back there until something significant changes" ? ).
Kane's header against the scum in 2015 has been mentioned. Such a great header.
Wanyama's rocket vs. Liverpool.
Huddlestone vs. City.

Huddlestone’s half volley against Man City has to be up there for me. Became my favorite player for a while after this. A big lad but could strike the ball with such cleanness and artistry.
