Got to be Gomes. Nobody has really excelled yet, but I think the most important signing of the lot was a top drawer goalkeeper. I think he would have made more difference to our league position last season than any one of the other players we have signed. No disrespect to them, I have high hopes for them all, but Gomes is best of all.

As for Robbo the 2nd goal the cross was on the 6 yard line uncontested, and he still never came for it!

edit: i am talking about the eveton game:oops:

Well he did the same against West Ham for their first anyway.

He then conceded an own goal that trickled into the corner.

The sad thing is, Sloth is spot on, if I'd seen those go in against Spurs (as we did time after time last season) I would have blamed the defence and midfield. And while partly justified, it isn't coincidence that this problem has shifted to Blackburn.

So, can I be the first to suggest when we play Rovers we don't lose any opportunity to shoot from distance, or take full advantage of corners...

got to be Corluka. I can't think of a more perfect signing we could have realistically got. A RB, CB and DM, 6ft 5" best mates with Modric..He will be quality

Turns out you're all wrong. All the players we've signed are fucking rubbish and we should all go and hide under a rock and cry for the rest of the season because it's going to be awful, just awful.

The Daily Mail and manic depressive SC members told me so.

it's hard to decided between them, most of them looked good people, liked Gomes, Bentley, Gio, Modric comments when they signed, and feel good too for others.

I think the squad & morale would be the key for us this season !

Gomes- a goal keeper who can catch, punch and actually get off the ground when he jumps.

not to mention command his box.

in my mind, the single most improved position in our squad

I dunno what everyone sees in Gio to be honest, he hasnt shown anything. He scored a good goal in the feyernoord trophy, but that aside he seems to not be in the games and not really do anything with the ball. OK I know its early and will take time, and I think its a test to see how good THFC and Ramos are at developing players. We'll have to wait and see.

My personal favourites are Gomes and Corluka. Gomes has been so so impressive thus far, what a signing! Lets hope man u isnt his "dream move" lol

Corluka can play well across the defence, and as a holding midfielder he seems OK-ish. Great ability on the ball, good in the air, calmness personified like mr Franco Baresi. And only 22 yrs of age...this is as good a signing as Woodgate was

Got to be Gomes for me, he looks like a top drawer keeper and seems to have a huge personality. I'm also quite excited about the propsect of Pav, hoping he can have a real impact.

Gomes, makes % of each game less stressful. Didn't really feel that nervous after every corner/cross/high ball in to the box. Can only breed confidence in the defence

Gomes is the one. Once the rest of the team gels we will really see the benefits of a good keeper that gives confidence to his back 4.

I also think that Modric will be a good player and the thing I like about him is that he is always willing to receive the ball and again once the team settles he will start to have the kind of influence on the game that Deco had on Sunday.

Modric no question - he brings the class to our central midfield that we've lacked since Carrick left - but he'll be a better player.

I fully expect him to start running games once he and the team settles. He will be our metronome* - we just need to give him the ball as much as possible....

Bentley. That boy-next door smile makes me go weak at the knees. And I'm straight!

No, seriously. Bentley is my favourite because right from the get-go, he really showed how much he wants to play for us. I don't care who he supported as a kid, right now, I get the feeling he loves being at White Hart Lane.

Gomes without question :-D

Isn't it nice thought that so many of us are going for different players? Much better than if we all agreed on one player :?
