its all down to if Berabtov wants out, or if Defoe wont sign a new contract..... if one or both dont want to stay then its between one of them!

but i would say Bent

I reckon it will be Defoe. As much as I like him, I fear he's trying to do a 'Sol Campbell' on us, and we can't have that, so it will be him sold, and not Bent, in my opinion, who has much more to his game, and, to be fair, hasn't had a fair crack of the whip, yet.

Berbatov must stay.

If Fred comes Defoe will be gone - it is the only move that makes sense. Keane has become Spurs, Berbatov will (hopefully) be ordered put no matter who comes in for him his window, and Bent was just brought in and has hardly played a game yet. Defoe it is... "definitely".

Defoe will go i reckon, all this talk about O'neill being at WHL last night or today is probably bollox, but if it aint, then who is he enquiring about..........Bent......?
Where was i......oh yeah, so its Defoe out and Fred the Tread in, and Bent takes over Defoes duty of bench warming......if it were up to me, i'd keep Keane and Berby, and let Defoe and Bent arm wrestle or first one to crack one off stays!

i used to think i'd let defoe go, but bent has shown nothing these past couple of weeks, so get rid of him. i mean really, the guy's a fucking passenger. what has he contributed to the side in our last 3 games? fuck all. he's fucking apalling. i can't believe the club spent £16m of my hard-earned money on a guy who, let's face it, has been fucking invisible in our last 3 or 4 outings. useless twat.

That pretty much underlines some of the comments. How can people be calling for Bent's head? He's a quality striker, let him get FIT and have a few games and I'm sure he'll be great.

I would sell nobody, we've got the highest scoring team in the Prem. If it aint broke.......

However, if Defoe doesnt sign a new deal, sell him in the summer.

Let Fred, if he comes, fight for a place with the rest of them.

are all the striker rumours being used as a smokescreen to take the spotlight off of our search for defenders midfielders wingers and goalkeepers?

Hopefully they will all stay, we have problems in other areas of the park, but if one had to go it would be Defoe, unless of course he signed a contract.

Guys, whether Defoe or Bent, whoever stays out of those two will be down the picking order. So, our pairing will be Berbatov and Keane with Fred on sub bench. This will frustrate either one of the pair that still remains!
Unless he has been brought in for Berba as he is off by the end of the month...???!!!
Fred is more like the sort of forward in the quality of Keane and Berba.

depending where chelscum sell drogba & whether manure get huntelaar there may be no places for berba to go to - every european grand would be ok in front then. there is this guy amauri in italy too - he may fill in a top european club's forward position as well.

we may end with an even better attacking department for next year if ramos offloads defoe and/or bent goes for someone he fancies.

Keane....just don't like him. He is a faker.Come and hit me now!

Was wondering when someone would say Keane.

After years of rumours that Keane was on the way out, I guess being on the verge of 100 goals makes him part of the furniture.

Pity that Defoe hasn't been able to take his chances (e.g. last weeks miss against l'arse) like he has in the past. The tag team of Keane and Defoe has served Spurs well. Defoe should accept that he is number 2 behind Keane, sign a new contract, and get on with being ready to take his chances when they come. If he's good enough a bigger club and England will come calling.

Selling Bent would show that Ramos is the main man, and show some commitment to keeping Berbatov. Otherwise Berbatov will be gone come the summer.

we need to get rid of Bent, but keep Defoe.bent has had his chance and done nothing, whereas jermaine always looks threatening.i think we have to look at strengthening our defence so we have backup, that is our main priority.

Defoe. Winges about 'not getting chances to start' and then wasting them when he gets them! Has more impact as a sub! Plus he says he wants to stay and loves the club but wont sign a contract. Is he hanging on until he's out of contract and then he'll leave and we'll get nothing.

Can you tell I'm not a Defoe fan!!!!?

bent has had his chance and done nothing

Actually when both Defoe and Bent had the same number of games behind their belts this season, Bent had scored more goals.

But I won't let the facts spoil a perfectly biased opinion.
