Its a pleasure to go and visit Barcelona at any time and for any reason.Luckily I will be there next week for 5 days just to revisit the beauty of the place!
It really would be amazing if we could incorporate Gaudis ideas into our new stadium - what a fantastic stadium it would be!

That's what Barcelona themselves are doing.. not building a new one, but redesigning Camp Nou, Made by Norman Foster.

On a completely different note, in your picture there llamafarmer, who has got their back turned when Berbs is taking the pen at Wembley? Looks like No 4 but I can't make it out.

oh, it is Zokora, too nervous to watch the pen, just had a prayer and listened to the roar of the crowd when it went in.. He looked insanely happy when it did.. awful cool!

There has been a LOT of talk about players from Barca joining us, but I'm in agreement that this may well just be about us selling Berba to them.

I'd like to think they'd have to come 'get him' though - and that we wouldn't do the running!

Let's just hope that either some of their players have fallen in love with Tottenham, that or Levy needs to top up his tan :-D

I guess I'm with Joey on this one. While I'm sure the club want to keep their proposed business as secret as they can, I find the idea that the club would actively lay down a 'smoke screen' or misdirection to be more than a tad fanciful.

However, we all need some fun in our lives - so suppose there is some point in making prosaic business deals seem more romantic.

I had that Mata Hari in the back of the cab once .....

It was a classic moment that epitomises my love/hate relationship with Didier Zokora

Awful cool it was, but not nearly as cool as Berba's penalty!

Same for me llama, same for me. Like his commitment and work rate and all .. but he just lacks a little bit too much as a pure footballer (thou he ain't a bad one) to take us places really.. and we want to go places, don't we girls?

Think this is very likely nothing at all.

Ramos (like all the players and coaches) has got the next few weeks off and has taken his wife on holiday back to Spain to visit their sons and daughter. He'll have his mobile on for emergencies (a la Jol and when Arnesen left), but certainly wont be working over there - this next 4 weeks is practically his entire holiday leave all year.

Levy and Commolli will be busy but I've heard nothing to suggest there's any truth in this Barcelona visit (unlike the Porto one a week or two ago).

Dan I missed this, are you saying Levy et al visited Porto to look at players?

First of all, sorry, I'm being an idiot, I meant Lisbon. Sorry.

Someone else (Archie on SO iirc) brought this up first and I sought and received confirmation that we were going over to talk about (and if we received permission, with) Veloso. I don't know how things went other than it wasn't a flat no (i.e he's still a target).

He's only one of 3 or 4 players we are pursuing in this position - as Storts and I collaborated to pass on the other day Palombo and Ernst are two others.

If Veloso is a go (and it's a long shot), we want to try and force it through before the Euros start next month.

Apparently the smokescreen story is just a smokescreen to cover the truth that he is going after Eto'o, it's a double bluff, clever bastards!

laugh if he was only going on holiday

Ramos or Levy?

Ramos definitely is on holiday, for the next 3-4 weeks until pre-season preparation starts. Levy tends to go half in February and half in September, for obvious reasons.

is levy there?

Last report from Alejandro Ramos and his wife's family paella dinner party in Seville tonight was no, Levy was not there.

Otherwise unfortunately I don't think Levy has been tagged by Vince Noir for the Celebradar yet.
