They shouldn't be sold without replacement as we don't have much better. If anything they would make good squad players but should'nt really be starting.

I think you're being very harsh on Bent though
.

I have no axe to grind with any player because a player playing well is good for spurs, but Bent is appalling.

He stands in the middle of the pitch waiting for the ball and offers nothing to the people passing the ball. Poor movement, dreadful first touch, no skill, poor dribbling, poor in the air, no left foot, can't play with his back to goal, poor passing, no vision.

I was actually being kind by limiting my comments to what I originally did. He is the worst forward I have seen playing in the premier league since Akinbiyi and Raziak.

Fair enough, Zokora is not very good, but is Jenas any better?

If I had my way the following players would be sold immediately;

Huddlecrap
Bent (so bad it is just not funny)
Jenas
Zokora (might keep him because he can play several positions)
Dawson
Campbell sent back to the mancs

I don't want these players playing so much that I wouldn't even demand that we replace them first. Not one of them adds anything to our team, at all.

No he can't....he gets played in different positions...there's a difference.

Our whole midfield squad excluding maybe Modric, Lennon and Bentley need to be replaced.

I'm assuming you're the type of 'supporter' who brandishes insults towards our players, during the game.

ha ha.

Listen mate, I spend my hard earned money on a season ticket every year. I go away as much as possible, im travelling out to europe with spurs again and blah blah blah.

I am a supporter yea, but I hate to see average players wearing our shirt. I dont have to 'like' every player cos he's a spurs player.

Zokora being one of our best players is a hilarious post, now back to your comfy armchair and wait for the highlights to come on.

And yet his scoring record so far this season compares favourably with both Berbatov's and Keane's in the same period over the past two seasons. Funny, that.

I'll take that as a yes.

Just because you spend money on something doesn't give you the right to behave like a vicious hoodlum.

It's not about 'liking' every player - it's about trying to lift the team.

Do you honestly believe your yobbish approach, demoralising our own players, is testament to helping the squad perform?

I would say Zokora has been one of best players this season with Gomes, Woodgate and Lennon. And Bent has scored four in eight. Some of the hyperbole on this site regarding Zokora and Bent is depressingly familiar to the bullshit you hear at the Lane.

Please don't insult my intelligence with that argument.

Name me a top team in the whole of Europe that has a player as limited as Bent playing up front regularly? There is a reason for that. The days when all a player had to do was score are over my friend. Even your real predators like Van Niistelroy can hold the ball up and bring others into play.

I will not argue, cannot argue, with your assertion that in terms of minutes on the pitch Bent has a very respectable record that compares favourably with all but the very best strikers, but that is a massive over simplification, as you well know.

His limitations as a player have had a MASSIVE effect on our goal threat and the way the team functions.

You tell me which of these things is not true;

Bent has a poor first touch.
Bent is not that great in the air.
Bent has very little technical skill.
Bent has a very poor left foot.
Bent cannot play with his back to goal.
Bent's movement is not the most intelligent you will see.
Bent is poor at dribbling.
Bent cannot really take defenders on with skill.
Bent has no vision when passing.
Bent is not great at defending set pieces and the like.
Bent does not hold the ball up very well.
Bent is not a good passer of the ball.
Bent does not really make himself available for the ball in tight situations.

What does that leave that he can do?

tbh I live half hr by train from WHL but haven't been there for a few years now, can't afford too. Last games I went to were both NLD's at the Emirates last season, only because I had free tickets. I don't think that makes me less of a supporter because I'm an armchair fan. I just can't afford to pay to go to games.

I think Zoko has been one of our best players, and that really somes up the position we're in, as he hasn't been great. But still one of our best players so far.

Importantly he can finish. Which is what he has been doing, and this is in a team low on confidence. Take out the movement attribute of all those you've listed there and you could be talking about Pippo Inzaghi, he's got a pretty crap goal record hasn't he.

Im a yob and a hoodlum because I laughed at a comment by another poster that Zokora is one of our best players?

If you watched me at Spurs you would see that I am one of those fans who go home with a sore throat through the amount of singing I get through - supporting the team and getting behind the team.

Because I dont rate a player you feel that that is an arguement to justify me as being a yob.

If there was ever a perfect time to use the wanker smilie it would be now.

Do you berate any of our players, during a game?

If so, then you can be detrimental to the team.

I've never booed for starters. Im passionate, so if we miss a guilt edge chance or misplace a ball then I sigh out loud yea.

I do not rate Zokora end of, never have and never will - im such a yob..

And anyway, even if i did moan at a player in the heat of the moment like 70% of fans do, that doesn't make me a yob does it?

I take it from your username that you're polish - does that mean you earn £4 an hour? Very judgemental isn't it?

Just because you follow a proportion of the crowd, who spend time demoralising our own players, does not make it right.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I assume you have made slanderous, expletive comments toward our own players, in the past - notably Zokora. If you have, I'd say that is quite yobbish behaviour.

Saying you have and never will rate Zokora means you have a vendetta against him. Whatever good he does on the pitch, I'm sure you'd still search for any faults. This kind of constant critical stance does not lend itself to the adage of 'getting behind the team'.

FFS just get over it. I dont rate him, he isn't good enough but I dont go out of my way to abuse him. As I said, Im passionate about Spurs and sometimes that boils over, but I dont single out any one player. Get in the real world mate.

What is that supposed to mean?!

You may not 'go out of your way' but it is ingrained in you to criticise him and I'm positive this type of behaviour, on the stands, does not lend itself to lifting the team.

Good for you, and for the record I hate it when the crowd get on the players backs after 10mins and boo at half time etc...

I'm gonna go home and beat up my other half, hit the kids and drink some beer while sitting on someones wall - cos Im such a yob don't forget!!!!

And there is no contract that says you can't get upset with players for playing like shit. Under your blanked statement, somebody saying "oh come on" every time a player misses a pass makes them the culprit in this mess.

There is a difference between booing a player and telling him to fuck off for missing an easy chance.

If you can't see this then you need to deal with your black and white thinking with some CBT. You're incredibly ridiculous and niave.

It's sport, we are allowed to moan about play and players.
