did Rodge not say it was close...well perhaps Levy is trying to edge that extra few mil out of them.

If we get 33-35 million for Modric going to Madrid its pretty sufficient in my eyes. What a bonus that he'll be out of the Premier League.

Would you rather him go to United for a few extra million, I sure as hell wouldn't.

I really can't recall the last time 'Roger Morgan' got anything of importance right. I can recall his bemoaning how his Blackberry packed in and prevented him from being first with the news that Bale had signed.

Archibald knows that Broomfield's gone (did he fall or was he pushed?), but is apparently unaware that the Bearded Wonder and Vertonghen are done deals? Interesting…

I believe its actually twice!

He was. And back in 08 when he was ours, he suggested Cisse from Metz, who they couldn't get due to the Home Office and moved on to Germany. So all those people lamenting the fact that we didn't get him in January....we tried at one time :p

And let's be honest, his first tenure was under Pleat, so you can understand that after being called Boomerfitz for a year, he was ready to quit.

Modric nearly won the game for Croatia the other night. Last summer I thought Chelsea were bidding around £25 mill. I think a bid more than that from a non-EPL club is acceptable.

Indeed, and they're not done deals yet otherwise they would be most likely announced :)

Expecting a Daily Mail article any minute now of a £31million bid for Modric from Real Madrid

Moutinho would be a nightmare. Yes he's been fairly good this tournament, but this tournament is not an away fixture in the Premier League and I've seen enough of him to be pretty certain that he wouldn't cut it.

We've got a serious job replacing Modric (if he does go), and just picking out players that look a bit like him when they play, for me, may not be the best solution. I'd say that, bar City with Silva, we are the only club in the league with a player like Luka, yet The Goons and United still finished above us, and Chelsea played us off the pitch in our biggest game of the season.

Maybe therefore we should spend money on a different type of central midfielder (perhaps goal scoring) to play with Sandro/Parker in a different system? The new manager I'm sure will weigh all of this up before deciding on how crucial keeping Luka is.

Anyway, pinch of salt and all that. It is another piece of journo ITK after all... In JJ we trust! :)

Absolute and total rubbish about Broomfield going. Archie needs to find a new source.
If he is going, Daniel and him don't know about it!

God I love it went JJ enters the arena.

Unless JJ is Ian Broomfield. Because if that's the case, this shit just got very awkward as he found out via whores that Archie said he was P45'd :D

I guess we'll know if JJ's next ITK is "can I crash on somebody's couch for a few days" ;)
