A fair few itks seem to be floundering a bit of late.
JJ popping in late at night is like a nice cup of cocoa before bed - comforting and reassuring in it's no nonsense approach.

I saw someone mention Jovetic as a potential Modric replacement. Whilst he never plays in the traditional Modric role of a CM playmaker and tempo dictator, he DOES play in the AM positions primarily, which is where we do find Modric from time to time for us. Wouldn't be a like for like, but it seems like he may be available for around half the price that we would maybe get for Modric, and I think he would be an absolutely fantastic purchase. I'm pretty sure JJ might have mentioned him in the past as well.

It could be that he is an alternative to Remy then, although, in my humble opinion, I think Jovetic would be the better player for us.

It will take years to replace Modric, just like with Berbatov. I have a feeling Levy's hands are tied here, maybe he promised Luka he could leave this summer if we missed out on CL again? Maybe even a buy out clause?

I blame Chelsea. Hate that "club" so much.

I like his tenacity. He's deceptively six foot, but I actually thought he was smaller, not for any bad reasons, but because he looks really stocky and is a real live wire. For some reason, my head translated that into 'pocket dynamo-esque'. I like his adaptability, technical skills and attitude. Have seen lots of big clubs mentioned over the past year or two, but nothing ever concrete. He can't be on massive wages and Fiorentina are treading water right now. He is exactly the type of player, at the correct kind of club, that we should be aiming for to make wise purchases. Kind of like Newcastle's buys, except a smidgeon sexier and a little more well known.

I'll hold my hand up. I was always under the impression that he was the journo creating the stories. But it seems like the suggestion is that he works at the paper and picks up on these. So I will use this new knowledge to judge in the future. Appreciate it.

Am on mobile so can't give you the little green tick, but I agree 100% with all of that. Would really get me excited!
