Broomfield, dunno - don't think he's been much good really. Sandro was a good find and so was Walker. Can't think of much else to shout about in 4 years at the club. Not sad to see him go.

I tell you what with Harry going and now looking like Modric going Levy has got to really go big to keep the fans onside.

Wow, a fair bit of ITK since lunchtime. So the swingometer goes back in AVBs favour. Broomfield out, then back in again. Anyone that was involved in identifying Sandro should have a job for life IMO, the boy is immense.

Whats this about Klinsmann???????? On TV today he didn't seem to have a clue about anything really, I really hope it isn't him, now that really does have disaster written over it. I doubt Ben can be ITK anymore anyway, not going to see much from his tree all the way over in California. Also I worry about his comment about Levy originally wanting Martinez, hmmm. That name still keeps cropping up in every bloody article I read.

I don't know why, but I'm starting to want AVB over Blanc, having originally favoured the Frenchman. I think I like the fact he is an underdog, has been unfairly treated by his former club, made to look a fool by the press - I think this will drive him even more, he will be so hungry for success and to show again what a good manager he is. Having experienced the other side of the coin, it could also be a good long term appointment. If things pan out well and bigger clubs come in for him I expect he would think twice before jumping ship. Odd to think that if he stayed for 10 years he would only be 44 and still have a long mangerial career in front of him. Would still be very happy with Blanc - my one reservation is that I don't even know if he speaks English well, never heard him speak in English - does anyone know? Haven't been able to find any videos.

Well, apparently Broomfield's going nowhere, and I'd be surprised if Modric is, for the moment anyway.

As JJ has mentioned our scouting hasn't been a issue, what has is the signing of those players with Levy unwilling spend big

I'm pretty sure you're right, but I'm also sure 'Roger Morgan' is making an educated guess and has no real idea of the timeframe and fee, and I very much doubt he has a decent source at the club either.

Players of his quality rarely stay at the same club for long. As sad as I'll be to see Modric go, if it's good money and to a club outside of the Premiership it's the right thing to do, and the right time to do it IMO.

What's Levy's reasoning though. Contractually still no need to let him go and we are likely to have to spend huge chunk of fee on what will ultimately be an inferior replacement.

Will be sad to see Modders leave, but at least it will be abroad. Pretty big boots to fill as well, hope we have someone lined up, preferably a midfielder with a few goals in him, the one thing modders lacked.
No real news on the managerial front, hope its tied up shortly, as pre-season is edging closer.
No ITK on strikers either, which is strange, considering we need at least 2. Hope Ade is sorted and returns and we sign someone like Leandro that hopefully has 20+ goals a season in him.....................all wishful thinking

The way I see it is that Modders off, a new management team in place and some of the deadwood gone too and what I've heard, I'm going to make a call.

CF x 2 (deffo) 30m
That's 45m for the quality needed and looked at
