So what happened to the investment?

Has there been any mention of an investment from anyone with a consistent track record of calling things that have actually happened? (i.e. not Akqua [not saying he's a WUM, but he has a poor record when judged against events that have happened] or anyone less respectable than him)

I've always felt that JJ has shown good sense whenever he posts info or rather how things are currently. But at the moment I think JJ has shown a lack of common sense with his last few tweets. He knows that the online Spurs contingent are bordering on rioting right now. All his recent messages will do is exacerbate the negativity and anger that is everywhere. By saying we're having a quiet week he's basically poured gasoline on the flames of rage.

If he'd kept silent we might be able to fool ourselves into staying hopeful, or even just a generic statement like 'still working on things'. Sure it's not going to relieve alot of the panic and anger but it sure won't intensify things.

I've always been a big fan of Levy over the years, but this summer i have gotten the feeling (especially from JJ's on and off tweets) that we could have snatched up a couple good players if only Daniel stretched a tad further.

Really doubting levy at the moment! Im starting to think he has taken club as far as he can and it's best if he stood aside now and let someone who isn't just interested in the balance sheets and squeezing every last penny out of a deal to take over and take the club forward, this summers transfer window has been a complete fucking joke! How can we go in to the season with only one proven striker who can't even play up front on his own! In the space of three or four months levy has taken us backwards thans to his penny pinching ways. We can't seriously be considered a top 6 club at the moment!

AVB should just play 4-6-0 just to send out a message to Levy, seems Levy has forgot what a striker is these last four years. Have we bought one since Pav (re-signing Keane hardly counts).

I don't even know what to think anymore.

I don't actually think I even care anymore, the ITK is completely contradicting and changing every day.

What happens happens.

What's worse is we would have been better off if we had kept Bent, Pav or Crouch and I never thought I would be saying that.

Who knows maybe Bale will score a hatrick and turn out the be the new Henry and we will all looks back at this thread and think "what a bunch of twats!" unlikely though!

So now it's AVB's fault

As it was me that sent that tweet to JJ I will defend myself. I must have a terrible grasp of the English language to have made you think that so please accept my unequivocal apologies.

What I am attempting to get at in 140 characters or less was AVB arrived to words like legacy, meltdown, challenging at the sharp end. Before you say these were not necessarily words spoken by JJ, I accept that.

We were on a wave of optimism, AVB in, Gylfi in and JV following it looked good. Now we play Newcastle in 5 days time and we have potentially the choice of going with Defoe (unsuited) or Kane (untested and unprepared) for the lone role.

We can play VDV and Defoe up front of a 4 4 2, sig, sandro, bale, Lennon... Good enough for me considering the current situation.

Not what we were all hoping but still tasty enough for the first few games??

Come on lads, let's try to get a bit positive...

Where's that straw clutching smily

Agree... But god that is so unbelievably depressing.

Or he could be on the naughty step and out of the loop? With his recent posts contradicting everything Akqayid says.
