I'll just be glad to have a good, consistent left back if I'm honest after enduring the joke that is Rose last season...but I have my reservations about Davies ability to get forward and support attacks. Though beggars can't be choosers...and in a world of billionaire oil owners and overachieving clubs with pots of transfer money... unfortunately it feels like we're 'beeggars' these days....so I'm going to shut up and stop posting direct from the pub!

Has this made it in here yet?

"10mil davies done
" from Jericho on FTL.
Solid left back with scope to become awesome under poch. Ok, I'll take it.

Rose is obviously too good for 2nd string (in his head), so I expect his swift departure.

Meanwhile on RAWK:

"Spurs hold Danny Rose in very high regard."

*slowly takes glasses off while Matrix music plays in background*

Yes, yes we hold Rose in high regard.....but if you twist our arm we will sell him to you for £15m, it's a limited time offer though you fellas better move quick.

No Gylfi gone the other way then

Davies move could create a small chain reaction in Gylfi being sold (presumably to an interested Swansea) and Rose departing. We could easily recoup the fee of Davies with those two corresponding sales. Good business in my mind. It also keeps future deals with Swansea open with an I give, you take type deal.

I would hope we would get a lot more than just the fee we paid for Davies from selling Siggy & Rose

How much are you guys willing to bet that we put ourselfs in the same situation as last year by selling Rose?

We'd be better off. At least we'd have an actual professional footballer who can play at LB. Anyway...who the hell would buy the chump?

Fryers is a lot better now and has some experience. Good enough back up for me. Last year at this time, he was not acceptable back up.
