An ugly game. Our worse performance this season IMO

It seems we were out Pochinoed by Pulis.

Lloris my MOTM

I'm sorry but some absolute shockers out there today. Aldertonghen were terrible, and I'm not sure Kane or Eriksen completed a pass all night.

Then Poch takes off Lamela who was our best threat in the 2nd half instead of Eriksen. Bad move

Horrible performance in shit conditions and the referee did have a stinker, especially second half.

Doesn't excuse most of our team deciding not to turn up.

Dier was especially bad today and can't believe he hasn't been picked out on here. Constantly out of position and lost out on almost every 50-50 he went for, Worst I've seen him this season by a country mile.

Vertonghen needs to be put in a wind simulator and practise judging the flight of the ball because I've never seen a top flight footballer struggle as much as he did today with the conditions... What was it 7,8 times he misjudged it?

Poch killed any momentum we had with the Lamela sub, he seems to select his subs pre-game as I have no idea how he came to the conclusion Erik was the one to take off over Christian 'invisible' Eriksen.

Not his fault but Son once again was completely ineffective and tbh the start to his Spurs career has been vastly overrated. He looks nothing short of awful in premier leagues, bar perhaps Crystal Palace. His time will come, maybe...

Not much Kane could do given how many defenders he was surrounded by, still, that chance did look golden.

Alli scored but actually did next to nothing second half and was rightfully subbed off.

Least we didn't lose but all these draws are looking very ominous.

Going to have to put that performance down to the conditions and Pulis' tactics as I thought we would rock up today given we had a weeks rest.

Oh, and Lloris my MOTM for making it 1 point instead of 0

Lloris saved us again, unbelievable reflex save. Some shitty kicking though. Walker and Rose were the standout players, constantly bailing out the awful cb's. Rose made one of the best tackles I've ever seen and was getting stuck in the whole game. Dier and Vertonghen looked like ghosts of their former selves, Verts especially. Alderweireld was bad but played some gorgeous balls throughout the game. Alli, great goal but couldn't be much influence. Lamela was useful I thought and shouldnt have gone off. Dembele struggled but still did well. Eriksen......pathetic. Kane some good stuff but no room or service.

Not going to slaughter our players for this. Bad performance, yes, but they parked the bus and technicians suffer more than brutes in a hurricane.. It's also hard to keep focus when the ref was content with letting them get away with dirty plays and kicking the shit out of us for 65 minutes.

Disagree with the Son bit, think he's been really important for us. His movement off the ball makes so much room for Kane, only player constantly running in behind from wide

On the contrary thought Toby bar one time he lost sight of the ball was infinitely more composed than Verts.

Had a decent game, given his partner decided to basically lose all footballing ability.

Son was atrocious, if Townsend made that cameo performance we'd be baying for blood. Guy struggles to control a football 7 times out of 10. I'm sure I'll be negged for that, as he's been severely overhyped since he joined. He has been average at best since he returned from injury.

Don't understand how Eriksen played 90 mins. Dier was bad, Walker was good but got bullied in the air for their goal. Wind aided Rondon against the CBs. Rose made a world class challenge and Lloris made a world class save. Kane tried but the support offered was minimal and uncommitted. Dembele went backwards way too much. Other than the goal, not sure what Alli's role actually was? He was on left wing for a load of it and anonymous mostly.

Suppose MOTM has to be Lloris but that was a dog shit performance against a dog shit team with a dog shit ref who was willing to let a red card challenge go for them at one point. Typical Pulis dirty performance.

Every time Son has been a sub I think he's been poor. Even that Europa game where the stats books will say he got an assist for bundling it in to the path of Dembele he was very ineffectual. So far he seems to be someone who needs to start games, as a sub he's doing nothing. I also don't see why when N'Jie comes on we move Kane into the No.10 role... Maybe yes if we are ahead in games and want to kill teams on the counter attack. But todays game? Not for me.

Lloris 9 - MOTM, A couple of amazing saves and he had no chance on their goal, so no fault to him.
Walker - 7 He really worked hard all game and would have been an 8 for me, but he just wasn't good enough to prevent that McClean equalizer. He did make some other very good tackles and got back quickly to his spot quite a few times after trying to join the attack.
Alderweireld - 6 One of his worst for us. I don't give him lower, though, because I know the wind fucked with the ball when it was lumped forward so it was very hard to judge. Also played the great pass for the goal.
Vertonghen - 6 Same rating, but actually think he was slightly better than Toby today as he made some good interceptions and challenges.
Rose - 8 World class goal saving tackle in the 2nd half. I feel very safe with him back there on the left side, but I wish he and Eriksen and whoever could be a better better offensively.
Dier - 6 Tackling wasn't as good today and passing was wayward at times, but he wasn't terrible as others are making out.
Alli - 7 Great first time shot for the goal. I was very surprised to see him bullied at times today - it is the first time I thought he didn't handle the aggression of the PL, and of a shittier PL bus-parking team at that, well. Very surprising considering he developed in League One. He still needs to improve in the transitions and counter-attacks with his passing.
Eriksen - 5 He was quite slow on the ball today and nothing came off for him. I thought he passed up at least 2 good chances to shoot from 20-25 yards and I fault him for that.
Dembele - 5 Seemed to actually be out-muscled and easily surrounded today. I was disappointed in his lack of incisive play and only saw a good pass for the incorrectly called Clinton offside. As I said in the match thread, he has to have drive and quickness and a freight train mentality in his runs forward or he will just lay it off and stall our offense.
Lamela - 6 Shouldn't have been taken off. Didn't bring much of anything in the final third in the first half but did have a lot of effort and tracked back.
Kane - 5 Nothing worked for him.

Lloris - 8 MOTM - Tricky conditions didn't seem to bother him too much, world class save to keep it at 1-1.
Walker - 6 - Was one of 4 players at fault for their goal, he defended solidly other than but gave the ball away too often.
Toby - 7 - He got caught under the ball a couple of time's and it nearly cost us on one occasion, good pass for the goal.
Verts - 6 - Quiet game for Verts, not a bad thing, got bullied once or twice by Rondon.
Rose - 6.5 - Goal saving challenge in the second half, really tried to push forward throughout but to little effect.
Dier - 5 - Probably his worst game in a spurs shirt, seemed to shy away from challenges and his passing was poor throughout.
Dembele - 7 - He kept the ball well, seemed eager to have the ball, struggled to physically dominate like previous weeks.
Lamela - 6 - Didn't really get in the game, needs to learn that stupid fouls don't amount to putting the effort in to atone.
Alli - 6 - Took his goal well and was a more than willing runner, just needs to take care with his control now and then.
Eriksen - 5 - Which player do you want in your side on a blustery Saturday at the hawthorns? Not this guy.
Kane - 6 - He tried, didn't really get in the game.

Son - 6 - Ineffective.
N'Jie - 6 - Never offside lino.

People wanted Eriksen subbed absolutely has no clue.

Did you forget last season when he saved us +4 times in the +90 min with a goal + his freekicks for all his time at Spurs? If you want him subbed you coulda taken anyone off today because most of our players were so poor. Surely Poch has learned from that mistake. But he made one today by subbing of Lamela for Son.

When we get on the opponents last third we have close to zero width, i just dont understand why Son, Njie, Kane have to be on the outside of the box, and even then they're still not getting in the box when our fullbacks are crossing.

Lloris MOTM for his saves. I thought Rose was half decent as well, but apart from that we didn't do enough.

I would not have taken a point before the game and I still felt we could have pinched one but it was all very scrappy. We didn't scrap as hard as them and didn't press as hard as them which is surprising. Their defenders hoofed the ball to their midfield/lone-striker as soon as they got the ball, that put us off pressing so we fell into their hands. It's nice to see we can now scrap because we've always had a reputation as a soft touch, but we didn't add any quality in the final third during the scrap

I know the ref made a balls up with the Mclean one, but the ref wanted it played like a mans game today, it opened a can of worms in someways as both teams could have had 6-7 bookings each

I was disappointed with Dembele today, he reverted back to his old self, when he's up for it it 'Spurs' on the players around him, he didn't have any drive and a bit sloppy at times. Eriksen chased a lot of lost causes but he wasn't that great on the ball today.

Vertonghen and Toby were fortunate today, if that was someone like Lukaku playing he would have been rubbing his hands together, they were letting the ball bounce in the box, rushing it out and panicking, very little communication between the two.

Dier had his worst game in a Spurs shirt, he wasn't protecting the backline well and people were getting behind him all the time, he lost his marker for the goal too.

Kane was being roughed up by Dawson and Olson from the get-go, they were leaving their foot in, whacking him on the back and getting very physical, I think Pullis put them up to it, Kane kept his cool well for the most part, but they were hounding him all game and giving him very little time on the ball, no matter how many twists and turns he was well marshaled

Lamela didn't press as much as I would like today, he overplayed with the ball too much for my liking, I still would have kept him on in hindsight as Eriksen was ineffective, if we had a freekick outside the box I would have loved to have kept Eriksen on, but the ref was letting a lot go today

I thought our full backs were half decent today and our goalie saved us getting 0 points. Not a great result, another draw, reminds me a bit of when Hughes at City where he lost very little but too many draws, these are the games we should be winning

Actually we have a pretty bad record against WBA and Pulis, I don't think the draw is that bad considering the performance

Wingbacks _whatever_.

Especially i the last 10-15 min when we pressed WBA hard.

sorry, think you've misunderstood, I was alluding to the fact Rose and Walker are so scared to put the ball in the box.
