I'm not angry. Just sad.
Sad to go out like this against shitty wba, and losing the title to fucking leicester. Sad that the season where we played better than anyone, a one in a million thing happens, and Leicester win every fucking game who knows how.

The only thing I'm angry about is that fucking thread about reverse st totteringham. Some people never learn.

No disrespect but sad? Did you have us challenging for the league before the season started? We are on course to finish second after an amazing second season with poch and his young guns. We are in great hands and showing great promise. Cheer up, things are finally looking up.

What is wrong with being sad. Sorry but after thinking Spurs would never win the league and then seeing this side get to where they have, there is a definite sadness there. I'm also really proud and excited for what is to come but sad and disappointed at what could have been.

Seriously wait until after the weekend to write an obituary on our season.

Yeah. Although the thought of Leicester losing, and then us losing at Chelsea to 'win' them the title might feel a bit worse that this WBA misstep.

I'm still hopeful that United can beat them, in which case it'll be thrown back over to us to make it interesting for at least another week.

Yes, sad. I know 2nd is still better than what we did the last 20 seasons, but seeing how close we were and who beat us to it, makes me think more in what we missed and not what we won.

Yup a great season and no fan thought we were going to challenge for the title this season so a great achievement.

The important thing for me is how the players react in the final 3 games. Still need to land 2nd place so for me I want to see 9 points.

Staying positive?

We are about to finish top 3 in the Premiership and hopefully above Arsenal. No-one in their wildest dreams predicted that at the start of the season.

What an amazing season it is for Spurs and the future looks so bright.

Not sure if true, but someone told me runners-up get runners-up medals???

Might be an incentive to keep going, albeit a hollow one.

I'm going to stay positive, every season that Poch has coached in the premier so far, his league position has improved the season after.

and its not over yet, they haven engraved the trophy with Leicester's name on it, even if they are getting the tools ready.

I agree. I'd be okay with it (well, more okay with it) if I felt the team that beat us out to it was truly better than us. I simply don't think that's the case with Leicester. I'm so amazingly underwhelmed by them, but that's just my personal opinion.

How close we were? We weren't ever really 'close'. And our form over the last few games has been very good, really, so we haven't bottled it or anything. A draw at home to WBA is not the disgraceful result you are implying it is, really...not even the best sides win every single game.

have I missed something, have Leicester won all 3 or drawn all 3, or got a definite 3pts from the remaining fixtures?

At the beginning of the season the hope was top four and most didn't believe we would get it, myself included.

We had a slightly slow start but moved up the table considerably by Christmas. We started to look like potential title challengers but with such a young side and City getting Aguero back I felt we were going to fall a,little short of the title but top four was looking good.

With City and Arsenal falling away and hopeful of a Leicester City drop in form I started to believe. Leicester kept going though.

So yes I am really positive about this season. We really look like a team and are the highest scorers and let in the least amount of goals. We have young, hungry players that seems dedicated to improvement and aren't going to just leave straightaway.

But seeing us come so close to possibly lifting the title and not beating West Brom at home I feel a little disappointed. The feeling will fade but wasn't how I wanted the season to end.

How have we 'imploded' exactly?
When we lost to Leicester we were 7 points worse off than them.
Fast forward 14 games and we are still 7 points worse off than them despite having a far tougher run of fixtures and let's not forget they have been absolutely top notch in their game management and churning out results week in week out.
The media really are a joke at times but the real joke are the poor old souls who buy into it every single time.
This 100%...

We haven't imploded or "thrown away the league" like so many people are trying to say. That may be what rival fans say when they're trying to get a bite out of us but if you were to actually look at the season as a whole you could never say that we've imploded. If anything we've improved as the season has gone on.

First 21 games W9 / D9 / L3
Last 14 games W10 / D3 / L1

I'm not staying positive. That was the most disatorous game I've seen in 47 years watching Spurs.
Out greatest chance to win the league. All I asked is that we didn't muck it up ourselves and made Leicester win it if they were going to win it but we couldn't do that.
Feel as if the months of hope and traipsing around the country were a waste of time.
A win would have secure 2nd in effect but now a good chance we will finish below Arsenal.
