Let's move on.

Finish 2nd, come above the bellends for the first time in forever, compete in the champions league, and win the fucking title next season.

We have a brilliant coach, talented young players all hungry, and a world class stadium on the way.

Could be worse.

Felt an overwhelming sense of deflation when the whistle blew and the camera went to Poch.

But then you catch yourself on and just appreciate the season we've just witnessed. Moreover its the foundations that have been well and truly laid that gives me real belief and confidence in where we're going under Poch.

Kin hell, think about how we'll do next season without the slow start this season.

We absolutely need to make sure our form doesn't collapse in the final three games and we're looking over our shoulder for the automatic CL places. Will be difficult without Alli and not sure about Eric...

I'm not staying positive. That was the most disatorous game I've seen in 47 years watching Spurs.
Out greatest chance to win the league. All I asked is that we didn't muck it up ourselves and made Leicester win it if they were going to win it but we couldn't do that.
Feel as if the months of hope and traipsing around the country were a waste of time.
A win would have secure 2nd in effect but now a good chance we will finish below Arsenal.

We've got a great team and I can't see anyone going anywhere. They've been hurt, which is good because they won't want to feel like that again. There's no reason to think we won't be challenging again next year, we certainly weren't the team we are now at the start of the season, we're much better. Win the league in our last season at White Hart Lane, stick that up your fairy tale.

But yeah for Christs sake let's make sure we finish 2nd an finish strong.

Really?
Guy, we weren't going to win the league, Leicester weren't going to drop the points.
I certainly wouldn't say Arsenal have a 'good chance' of finishing above us, either...

Yes, tonight's result was gutting, but I think we can all be calm tbh.

If we secure 2nd, it'll be our highest ever finish in the PL era.
We've got the youngest team in the league, and we'll only keep improving.
We play some, quite frankly, wonderful football at times.
I'm confident all our key players will stay the summer.
Pochettino.

We will compete for the title for seasons to come now. This result's devastating of course, but it's only the start of the road imo. We can challenge, and I really think we will.

I think it's a bit premature to claim that just yet. It's been a great season and fair play to Leicester for the title. But I've been saying for a while this a Buster Douglas title. I expect the heavy hitters to actually perform again next season.

Young team, plays well in patches as they tend to do but I haven't seen us really dominate a match from start to finish (Wham at home the possible exception) this season like title winning teams of bygone days have tended to do.
So I don't think we're ready yet, sadly, but keep the team and coaches together and I'm confident we will win something soon.

I'm not sure we will compete for the title again for a bit (and neither will Leicester, obviously). This was simply an off year for every top club.

I think City/Chelsea will markedly improve. If Arsenal spend or change managers they will improve. United will get better. Liverpool will finish above us next season (I think they will win the league, actually).

I'm not trying to sound like a pessimist because we lost today, I've carried this train of thought all season. I think it will be back to fighting for top 4 next season and coming up short...

If we invest in some quality behind Kane, a Kane backup, and another deep lying CM we might have a chance.

Dominate a match from start to finish? This isn't FIFA
Separate point, but my friend, today's game was exactly like FIFA.

Dominate, but only get 1 goal, hit the woodwork thrice, and then the shitty park the bus team get a goal because your goalkeeper misses the ball from a corner.

Gutted we did not win but I remain balanced in this all. The mere feeling we could win the title is something I have not experienced for three decades so thank you Spurs! OK now let is go on and get second place and the season will have been a rip roaring success

Next season we will be stronger, better and have the experience of going down to the wire. No way has this team reached it's peak

Get a grip of yourselves before the season started and we hadn't signed a striker everyone was reeling and going mental saying how 'we're not even going to make top 6' and now some posters in here not all just a minority are saying we are going to finish below arsenal and not challenge next year or even make top 4 next year! Has this season not taught you anything?

I refuse to be critical of this spurs side because I was one of those fans feeling underwhelmed when we didn't sign a striker or a big name before the season and never did I expect to see this transformation in the youngest team in the league! Im grateful to have one of the brightest managers in the game managing the club I support, to have my spurs back after years of utter dross and broken lazy squads under avb and sherwood!

I do understand the feeling of being gutted right now because I have that feeling too! but theres a couple of posts in here that have annoyed me.

I am proud to be a spurs fan right now. coys

Calm down. Arsenal aren't going to beat City. They probably won't beat Norwich at the weekend.

Every season, 19 teams have to concede the title at some point. Tonight we were the last team to do so and there's no shame in that. This team, the youngest in the league, have done us fans proud and exceeded all expectations. The title may be beyond us now but we can still have a strong finish and ensure we at least sit above Arsenal when all is said and done.
