I wonder if the sudden reigniting of the BF deal is due to Poch after yesterday's game deciding its time for Eriksen to move on as his head clearly isn't in it

As much as CE is messing with us, it's probably only as a direct result of Real messing with him. He believed they wanted him, then zz leaks to the press he's not interested and then perhaps they've come back for him, messing with him again once he thought his dream move was not gonna happen

It's not going to be great if CE doesn't sign a contract because if we lose him on a free that may not affect us this summer but not getting 5070 million pounds would definitely have a knock on affect on any business you want to do next year. Pool spent the Coutinho money and some more. We'd definitely be limited with what want to do if he leaves on a free

We've had admirable squad continuity over the last 3-4 years and it's certainly a big reason why we've been so successful. But it'd make for quite an exciting season to get 3-4 potential first team signings in with NDombele, Lo Celso, Sessengnon, and Fernandes. Plus the kids as well.

Maybe CE reluctance to sign a new contract has been the hold up getting the players in

ITKs have been pretty explicit about reasons for lack of income

Betis messing around, Fulham asking for to much etc. Can we please stop blaming this poor man for all of our miseries!

IMO Hercs bit on Eriksen is opinion

I know this has been done to death in the Eriksen thread but this man has delivered like a real pro every season he has been with us. Also this one. Let’s thank him instead of blaming him for the poor run we (collectively) had (despite reaching the CL final) ?

Im not saying it is his fault I have never participated in any conversation about Eriksen and his on pitch commitment/s or to the club.

But I think uncertainty over his contract and whether we keep or sell him or lose him does create considerable variation in our strategy not just this summer but for the next year.

dragon1:
there was one player the club felt was an absolute must and we got him and there was stiff competition so we moved early
the other deals levy feels he will do better deals late on and we are not in a race like we were with ndembele, the numbers quoted for lo casio and fernandez are nonsense, the players are at either small clubs or in shit leagues and players want the move so do the maths we have the leverage, we have several names in the fire , lloriente has not been replaced yet either
re eriksen there has to be a buyer at big money we are not giving a world class player away and right now there is not

and on eriksen must be on his way cos of bruno interest: not true

Dragon seems confident.

I’ll be astounded, based on all the noises, if this time next week we aren’t in a very healthy position.

ILIT!

He isn't messing with us though.
