I want a winner but if we get mourinho it only ends one way and that one way is winning a few trophies and playing shit football only to be sacked after a couple years
Honestly, if the winning a few trophies part of that was guaranteed (which I know it couldn't be), I'd take that deal.

Need to get past the transfer window and then judge from there. Obvious that it is not a happy camp at the moment. Vertonghen looking a better player with every match he isn’t playing. Lamela flattering to deceive as always. Kane seems to miss Alli playing near him. Although Lo Celso did come up with a first time pass to put Kane in yesterday.
Madrid not pulling up any trees at the moment. Expect a last minute 50m bid for Eriksen. Let him go at that price. Players who don’t want to be there just destroy the team spirit.

Mourinho is the last manager who should succeed someone that (presumably) lost the dressing room. That's putting out fire with gasoline.

I'd be amazed if it lasted longer than until June.

Playing devil's advocate though, if he does indeed do just that, our profile worldwide has increased whether you want to admit it or not.

Sooner he goes the better then. I didn’t think I’d ever say that. But he seems to think he has outgrown the club.

Agreed.
He thinks he has outgrown us by doing very little.
Maybe RM apparently showing interest has made him think he is the man for RM.
Maybe RM where stringing him along like they appear to be with CE.
Loved having Poch here (other than 2019) he has/was a revelation.
Now though he seems to have lost interest or something akin to that.
Ready for a change at the top.....sad but such is life in football...
It is a results game not a how close we were two/three seasons ago, gotta win things.

I just can’t see Mourinho and Levy being able to work with each other. In particular how we operate in the transfer market

It's all very strange. Didn't look like there was much wrong with the squad harmony when we knocked out Ajax in the second leg, or City for that matter... Scenes in the changing rooms etc

But there clearly is issues, and Poch said post match that we weren't at the right levels in terms of fighting for each other but I do wonder if that stems from the tension between the management and some players.

Our league form is really worrying, and if things stay the same we'll be know where near the top 6 let alone the top 4.

We can analyse a million things in all this but the most obvious evidence is right in front of our eyes - we don't play with intensity anymore, it's completely gone and Poch has to take a big chunk of the responsibility for that.

just my opinion, and i’ve no doubt i’ll be slated for it, but the unsettled nature/disharmony stems from Poch and his refusal to rule out leaving for another job. even prior to the biggest game in our history. the non-commitment from him has filtered down to the likes of Eriksen and Toby, and its no wonder we’re unsettled.

thats before i even get onto his tactics, man-management and media remarks, which is equally as baffling.

Ideal scenario for me would be get a winner in for a couple of seasons, mourinho, ancelotti, allegri, probably others out there not in my mind, then get a younger manager again ie howe(maybe) naggelsman

Wouldn’t be against an older manager who’s a winner if we win trophies, then bring in a younger manager

What did he say?

He high lighted the lack of effort by our players epitomised when they scored. No effort to close down the player on the ball, Rose's lack effort to get across to a dangerous situation & generally a lack of effort all over the pitch.

I'm not advocating for Mourinho (I'd take the kind for Mourinho from his first PL spell btw.), BUT if you have a manager with a distinct accent, who is cocky and rude in the press, alienates key players, implements cynical football and is stubborn and inflexible, it that's your kind of guy, you could do worse than Mourinho...

Probably should’ve added that I’m okay with that, but then we should go back to a younger manager philosophy again with Howe/ naggelsman ect rather than doing that method every 2 years

If we do lose on Sunday. I'd like to hope/think over the two week break Poch will sit down with levy and some agreement will be reached if he does indeed wish to part ways now or he commits to getting us out of this rut we're currently in.
